Yea, any reason to actually continue playing? I think I've spent maybe 8-12 hours off and on farming, made like 1m from all that and have some random items that have let me progress decently. Beat Belial with some RL friends, can't really do anything in A2 or A3, no point farming Butcher because the items are worthless. Read a thread on the OF saying you need about 40m to get anywhere in A3? lol
The class seems boring, I basically run around like a retard waiting for an immunity to come up while having to weave back in to attack for spirit regen and to maintain my Blazing Spirit. I went from actually being able to attack stuff and have fun to having to tank everything with a shield. I have no damage (6300 with a 640 weapon), can't really tank because there's no threat, and I have no actual CC (yea, blind and fear don't count)
How exactly am I supposed to farm 40m? What is there to look forward to? It's not like once I spend that 40m I'm back to playing something fun; I'm just tanking everything in the next act while the same cool dps classes stand in the back doing 6x my dps
Oh, right, I need to post my stats so I can get told how bad I am. 47k hp, 58% reduction, 13% block, 30% dodge, 674 resist all, 5995 damage on the sheet, 1.4 as, 474 loh
I don''t personally even use LOH but you need that AS for your spirit generation man..
Also 8-12 hours farming is nothing for a diablo game, also your resists are armor are way low compared to your hp, your heals do jack shit with that layout.
If you don't enjoy grinding then Diablo is certainly not for you (at least, not long term). That's ok, no need to force yourself to play a game you don't enjoy. I think the changes coming in 1.0.3 will make the game more enjoyable though (specifically, better item drops in act I inferno).
All i can tell you is just keep farming and try different strategies. Diablo has always been about sitting on your ass for hours infront of the computer but from what ive heard, seen and witnessed, Inferno just sounds almost impossible untill another year or so. Like it's made for only the "real" players to finish. I bet blizzard sits on this site all day with popcorn and juice and laughs at all of us on the daily.

Yeah really this... And D3 is far more grindy than D2 due to the fact that after 8-12 hours of MF'ing like you have done, you would DEFINITELY have a really good item in D2. D3 you might have something that can sell for 1/5th of the price of a really good item after 8-12 hours. Hopefully this patch will help the issue a bit!
I've put time in on grinding before, I did the Insane grind before it was an achievement, had every single rep at exalted, had 13k achievements in Wrath, farmed 500k before Cata, but the difference was that it was time-consuming and easy / boring, this is just time-consuming and either easy or impossible. I'll tank 15 spiders and blow them all up with a 3 stack, think I'm hot stuff, and then walk into an elite pack that will one shot me, that I can't possibly beat, and that's that. No skill involved, no new strategy, just no way to beat a 3 elite pack with 1.2m hp and impossible suffixes when my dps is 7k. I finished quests 1-7 a2, I'm currently doing the last Kulle quests, I have Belial dead already, and I'm hoping to get into A3. Why? I obviously can't kill anything or survive. Because my best bet at this point is to hope to blitz through the first quests to open up Siegebreaker and hope I get carried in a party with people who don't inspect me and hit the jackpot with an item to actually get some cash.
Hmm, I would say drop some health and work on getting some atk speed. I'm in act 3 atm doing 5 stack Siegebreaker and no where close to your hp. Elite packs are slower to kill than in act 2 but have gotten a few descent drops. My stats atm are 38k hp, 15.3k dam, 6300 armor w/ mantra not follower, 589 all res, 1.79 atk speed, 25% chance to block, 42.2% chance to dodge w/ mantra (more w/ spam), 67.79 damage reduction and 20.32% melee damage reduction. I didn't see if you noted how much melee damage reduction you have, but it comes in handy. Ranged would be nice to have as well I guess, but too expesive for the best upgrades. No clue if this helps but the weapon I bought is an 890 vit/dex sword and put a 400 LoH gem in socket. 840 LoH in total so far. Good luck and if I can add some advice in game my bt is Izhe#1920. US
I can start A3 and my goal is to get to Siegebreaker asap so I can try to get some gear out of chests / easy quillboar elites in caves ... what's the best use of my money?
With 10 hours farming bucther you only have 7k DPS ?
Post your build and your items, then people will be able to help you. When i was level 50 i had that DPS w/o even using AH items...
Today i just dropped a staff with 790 DPS and a gloves with 200 dex, 70 vit, 50 all resists. On the Bucther. I'm doing bucther run for 2 days.
This is not WoW. Killing one boss doesn't mean you're ready to progress and make the next act. You gotta farm up equipament. And i mean farm for an few days, not 10~12 hours. Dropping a good item in this game is difficult you gotta make like 50 runs in order to get something of value. Also this is not Wow were item upgrades are extremely linear (blizzard already make items tailored for you to progress). In D3 you gotta know what you need, piccking the wrong item, even if it's higher level one, will make you weaker.

My items are posted right above
I don't really have a build yet, I swap it all the time depending on where I am, but it's mainly all defensive based
EDIT: Here's everything condensed after my upgrades:
Dude, I can tell you flat out your DPS is to low. Right now your sitting inbetween being a shitty tank and shitty dps to where you can't do either role good. Also I can tell you you don't need 40 million gold to be able to beat act 2 rofl. I've spent roughly 10-15 mil over time and can blow through act 2 now (was able to do it with alot less items but made more money as i was able to progress through the act.) You CAN be a dps spec, you DON'T need to use a shield if you dont want to. What you do have to do is learn how to use the AH. Once you get the AH down you will start finding upgrades at decent prices.
My stats right now and can easily blow through act 2
600 resists all
5k armor
24k dps (yes 24k dps) i blow shit up fuck defense
16 melee reduc (finally got my hands on a semi-decent string of ears belt)
59k hp
1k loH
1.88 AS
Oh and i just want to point out that I use a 2 HANDER WEAPON and it's baller as shit and i got it cheap since everyone thinks 2 handers are worthless My weapon has 1,050 dps 26 percent AS and 950 LoH

its about play style aswell
What else was I supposed to do? It was taking 15s to kill a zombie in A1 solo

Tried that. Can basically kill the normals easily enough, then 80% of the elite packs destroy me.
I now have A3 open up both solo and multiplayer, but no way to actually run it and not get instagibbed

I killed Siegebreaker with some friends, tried to kill some elites / farm a chest and I can only do it maybe 10% of the time
I can do a Kulle run relatively easily, but those items still aren't ilvl62 very often ... sigh = /

I think I totally undersold a helm I found ... 60 str, 199 int, 70 all resist, socket, 1.5m bo it sold instantly
If I can just get to act 4 I'm pretty sure I can win because I can just blitz the zone until I get to him and he's not that bad, like most bosses
