Now, shorten it a bit, and translate to german:
"Omg I found this über item."
Right. This is too hard to type. Remove the dots:
"Omg I found this uber item."
It's the same as people who add random apostrophes to plurals or any word that ends in the letter 's'. They see some people making simple mistakes, think it's correct, get confused about what's correct, etc. etc. etc. After a while, they just don't care anymore.
Then you inevitably get "that guy" who tells us all that this isn't an english class. He'll be in this thread at some point, I'm sure...
