I love the diablo book series but did anyone else notice that there are two ERRORS in the text within the Sin War trilogy, one in Birthright and the other Scales of the Serpent.
1) Starting on page 118 in Birthright Uldyssian and his friends are fighting the Peace Warder and Malic. It says...
Uldyssian saw one blade come at his brother, only to bounce away several inches from his target. A Peace Warder sought to seize Achilios, only to nearly break his hands against the very air near the hunter's neck.
Then during the same scene on page 121...
He had no idea if any of the three were still protected or, for that matter, what had happen to Achilios, who had never returned from his hunt.
2) In the Scales of the Serpent (Not quite sure where in the book cuz haven't read it rescently) when Uldyssian is fighting in the church of the Triune. The three statues of the Dialon, Bala, and Mefis become alive and start to fight Uldyssian. Knaak writes that each statue holds something in their hands representing what they stand for (not quite sure who had what). During the fight scene Knaak refurs one statue by i think Dialon but the item the statue was holding was suspose to be for one of the others.
If you don't can't find the second error give me time i have to go through the book to find what it exactly says and i will get back to you.
EDIT:
Yes i started this thread but i'm having a problem finding the second error in the Sin War Trilogy. If anyone who read the Sin War books can tell me what chapter in the second book "Scales of the Serpent" in which Uldyssian is fighting the statues of the Triune gods i will be very greatful. (I'm a slow reader and if its near the end of the book it will take me a few weeks to get there).
Or if you know what i'm talking about in my first post please post the page number and some quotes from the book that proves what i said is true.
EDIT:
Ok i found the writer's error in the Scales of the Serpent.
On page 12 they introduce the statues...
He turned to face the path ahead again. the vast chamber in which they stood was the center gathering place for the faithful before sermons of the three orders began. Towering statues of the triune's guiding spirits stood watching over the separate entryways leading to where each of the orders met. They are robed, ethereal beings with only vague countenances. Bala on the left, with its hammer and th bag containing the seed of all life. Dialon on the right, bearing at its breast the Tablets of Order.
Mefis in the middle...always Mefis...carrying nothing but cupping hands as if about to gently receive an innocent baby.
Then on page 19 when the statues become alive...
But his warnig came too late for some. As if of living flesh, the gargantuan effigies bent forward. Bala's heavy hammer came down on two Torajins, crushing them beneath it. Dialon battered away a hapless Parthan with the edge of one of the tablets.
Mefis...Mefis seized a woman and squeezed hard. Even Mendeln found himself nauseated by the monstrous result.
Finally the first paragraph on page 20 the quick error about the Statue...
"Lilith..." he gasped just as massive Dialon turned a stony gaze his way. The colossus raised his hammer. "Very much Lilith..."

Well i when i found them i called my friend (since he read them too) if he noticed them and he said he didn't. So... i thought i'll see if anyone one here noticed them and maybe someone here found other errors in the diablo series that i might have missed.
I thought that they do heavy editting and touch-ups before they print the stories. cuz the one in Scales of the Serpent is pretty close to the correct section.

Yeah but when you have pages and pages and pages and thousands and thousands of words... its hard to pick up everything.
And yeah, I did notice those errors when I read it. But, like all pieces of history, there tends to always be inconsistencies when retelling stories. Because, as I'm sure you're aware, Kalan is the one who recounted the whole events regarding Uldyssian, his brother, and preserved them in what is known as the Books of Kalan.
Well going by the view of the story teller i can understand but when i read the books i didn't have that point of view. I viewed it like seeing it in front of my own eyes. With that point of view its a writer's mistake.
Maybe since i don't like reading alot plus i'm a slow reader i find the littlest mistakes easier and ponder over them to much.

I never noticed them when I read the books. I think I tend to skip lots of these detalied desciptions in fights and the like. The important thing is who survives, so we can get on with the plot
