The dh is a no skill class why make dh that only lays sentries, dh is supposed to be a archer class shot arrows and etc not an engineer class. I can lay my sentries and have a fap and still beat 40+ and the other classes have a hardtime some need rng or dense. dh most bullshit class right now.
What they need to do is sit back and take ANOTHER long, hard, look at itemization.
We still have 100% useless legendaries. Most specs are 100% set-centric. There's very little room to assemble a "set" of legendaries that create synergy and roll with that because Firebirds, Akkan, Maraduers, etc. are just far too strong. This means that the RoRG is, by virtue of the set-centric endgame, a virtual necessity for most players.
The only competition between orange and green items is basically for whichever slot you choose not to equip because of your RoRG and most of the time that's determined by which non-set piece gives the best synergy with the set (Quetz, MoJ, T&T, etc.).
The inherent power of some of the set bonuses is just so immeasurably strong and that's where the problem lies. DHs are pretty shitty, but M6 makes them unbelievably powerful. This is the problem at hand. A set can take a class from "Oooooh I wish I could clear T2" to "HAR HAR HAR HAR GR45 NUBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ."
When Josh talked about build-changing legendaries, I really didn't envision itemization completely dominated by sets where legendaries were sprinkled in only where sets weren't necessary. I think more people really believed we'd be able to find a "set" of legendary items that all had good synergy and assemble those into working builds (electro-stun wizard comes to mind here as high synergy among items but generally low effectiveness).
The notion of d3 requires no skill needs to die off when talking about high GR. I agree that 90% of the game requries no skill at all and your "success" is mostly determined by the ammount of hours you spend on the game. But certain builds are seriously quite hard to pull off in perfection. Not dying in a hard rift with the Ball Lightning build requires some skill whether you like it or not. 10 People with the same gear will get different results and not just because of gr rng.
Too many people whinning and pretending to know shit but in reality, even if they had the same exact gear of top players, they wouldn't even come close to clearing high GR because it's hard and does require skill. Stop this disinformation, seriously.
EdiT: I challenge all the noobs crying about dh without even playing it, go gear a dh and complete gr 40+ and tell me if it was easy.
Diablo and skill Kappa. There is no skill in farm fest dude.
wrong. there are MANY better players than you out there. you know why they're better? because they have more time!
*fixed.
^Exactly. ^^Skilled players will find 50% taskers sooner than me? Yeah of course. >.>
Gear can only take you that far. Skill is required.
If gear was all. Then why arent i on grift 40 + ? i got the gear for it. But i lack the skill to get much further than 37. Moving out of stuff fast enough. Knowing when to run and when to fight. Stuff like that.
I remember when switched to dh because of the act2 wall with my barbarian and keep playing almost near the release of ros.
While my barb just any other barb was melting fields at mp10 afk with perma wotb my dh was pushing 200apm while the barb was at 10 or 20.
Point is dh dont need a nerf at all it just seems they never found the sweet spot for this class. I miss the action oriented frenzy he was and I dont see that changing any time soon when you have a pet set bis.
I think they need to buff the other classes to DH level; Wizards, Barbs and Crusaders, as of this moment, have no endgame. WDs play as a CC class, and Monks tank.
I also don't like the over reliance on ONE build - the one dictated by your class set. If you don't use your class set, you pretty much suck.
Hey, why monks should tank and support?? We want to do 41+ grifts solo too ! Monks seem to be always neglected by Blizzard... While dh says 'you know that it is hard to go to 45lvl grift? ' monks say ' it is hard to do 39!". Feel the difference. Don't nerf dh, buff monk and wd classes
D3 in general just isn't a game where you can perform outsandingly well constantly no matter how skilled you are, because the conditions are not the same for everyone. Of course there are situations where good players shine and bad players die. But the problem is that those situations do not occur equally often in every respective rift. I would love it if blizzard would rely less heavily on RNG, since in this game pretty much every aspect is RNG influenced. No rift is like the other. In fact they vary greatly which makes general assumptions about high GR and their associated skill lvl pretty much senseless.
The fact that you have to generate a lot of high GR Stones just to get that one rift that is ideal makes the supposedly competetive part of this game depend more on invested time than the occasional display of skill.
I generally disagree with the OP, he should stop whining like a little girl and think of the consequences of nerfing marauder, which would basically cause DH's to vanish from the leaderboards. There will always be a specc that outshines the others. DH is indeed able to deal damage without getting into as much danger as the other classes, but then again DH is by far the squishiest class and the games skill never revolved about doing damage, but surviving while doing so. In terms of survival DH's have the same problems as most other classes. Some affixes screw them over and a handful of mob types are a pita. Dealing damage in diablo 3 ( diablo in general) has never been hard. Every builds damage mechanics are absolutely braindead and can be executed to near perfection by a monkey. Not dying is hard.
TL.DR: Nerf X because it outshines Y = Grow up.
most classes die in 1 hit at gr 40 + so it doesnt really matter if they're squishy, if anything they have an advantage because of smoke screen and vault.
Any nerf to this set will bring a massive shitstorm, and blizzard knows it. As somebody on page 1 already said, the problem is that all the classes have a single set that pretty much dominates everything else. The endgame is find your set, find the random legendaries that supplement it, then roll face on keyboard while you search for the exact same items you already have but with higher / better rolls.
The dh is a no skill class why make dh that only lays sentries, dh is supposed to be a archer class shot arrows and etc not an engineer class. I can lay my sentries and have a fap and still beat 40+ and the other classes have a hardtime some need rng or dense. dh most bullshit class right now.
Or fix the other classes?

Luck is also a big part of greater rifts tho

I love that the term "skill" is coming up in D3 a game that arguably supposed to be broken. If you want balance LOL, DOTA and SMITE are that way >>>
In fact good luck with ever having "balance" in any game ever. Show me one game that is "balanced" and I'll call bull.
