And added other problems. That's what we're discussing. Personally, I think that it added more problems than the ones it solved.
You need hurdles when it comes to trading, otherwise it becomes easier to trade than it is to farm, completely changing the priorities.
I think hurdles, in the sense that you have to do extra work to get past them, hurt the game. After all, if we just shift the burden off of the AH and onto d2jsp or some such, I don't think that makes the game better.
What we need are more ways to get bind-to-account items which are comparable to what you can get on the AH with a similar amount of effort. The crafting recipes are a decent start, but they are not enough on their own.

...and if you disagree with me, you're probably <insert random ad hominem attack here>.
Also, check out the darkness (and that door.....). When was the last time you felt any suspense opening a door in D3?
This was mostly due to the light radius (I believed this to be the "sight" of your character) which was removed. Light radius provided suspense in D1 but it didn't provide the same effect in D2 to me because I already knew something was behind the door. It provided that "Monsters from the Mist" effect and I thoroughly enjoyed using Gotterdamerung from D1 because of how low my light radius would go just by equipping it.
On another note, the story of D3 is far superior than D2. It's just the storytelling of D2 (not LoD) and especially D1 were better in terms that the lack of lore in-game added to the mystique, the suspense, it gave that "Fear of the unknown" vibe. In D3, we knew what was coming most of the time. The development of lore in books and our datamining the game beforehand also added to this so in a sense we spoiled ourselves.
The lore and stuff are actually nice, I like what they did with them. However, the main story, specially the one involving the act bosses... my god, it was really bad.

Exactly what i think. The side stories are better.Especially that necro in the desert mentioning his mentor(that was us) going to battle with the prime evils 20 years ago.But the main story sucked so much damn.
D2 story sucks. But when you compare it to D3,it suddenly seems like an award winning bestselling story.

Grinding Gear Games (Company that produced POE): "These are great Ideas, we will use them for sure as they are clearly what the player base is looking for."
Blizzard: "While we agree that this game needs re-working and that these ideas could help the future of this game, we have no plans to listen to our fan-base at this time."
Spare the hyperbole... D2's story was shite. Devoid of anything resembling suprise, and almost entirely told through cutscenes while the player was sent on various irrelevant side-quests. The only time I was even remotely impressed was when Tyrael smashed the worldstone, and even that felt completely inevitable from the moment we found out why Baal was attacking. Perfunctory doesn't begin to describe it.
Ok so D3 isnt told in cutscenes? And those shitty clips when you complete small quests where the story is shown as art in an old book type cutscene which is Blizzard's way of hiding the fact that they couldnt create cutscenes for those parts.

Yeah you are dead on brotha. Blizzard was trying to trick us by putting stupid ink animation cutscenes (that any child over two could do) where real cutscenes should be. Its not like state of the art cinematics take any time to make.

Yep they're totally hiding shit from us.
God forbid they wanted some cutscenes to be cinematic and some to be minor in-game bits that actually involved our character models. That's a total conspiracy and it's never been done in any other game in the history of games. God Blizzard is totally horrible. They should all commit suicide.

In my opinion.
