So, you want random items, but the stats on them should randomly be what you desire them to have...
I like it this way, it give items flavor. What I find odd though is that you don't think need any Int or Dex on barb items...
You still need the dodge and resist I'd say. If a mighty item drops with +200 Str and 150 Int/Dex, would you rather prefer it not having that extra defence, or what?

Thats not exactly what I'm saying, sure there is room for Dex/Int for a barb, but what im saying is for example, take a 2h Mighty with 4 Random Properties, since the main stat of a Barb is str it should have something like +100-150 str and THEN 3 random properties. A mighty item with +200 str and 150 Int/Dex is amazing in my opinion but your chances of getting something like that is pretty low. I'm just trying to say that atleast make the class specific items have the class main stat, hell even randomize that value i don't care as long as it's there. Shit happen i know but someone who crafts a 2h mighty shouldn't have to worry about it having Int, random resist, random resist, random resist. Atleast have some kind of direction for the items, if not just a little.
If loot was stock standard predefined noone would be grinding this game to shit at the moment.
I didn't say stock standard defined. Have the loot system somewhat like D2, nothing was wrong with that, shit you can even take that and make it much more random and it would still be fine, but what they did was start from scratch and made every item the same with just diff class requirements and looks. Whats diff from a 2h sword and a staff or 2h axe? Nothing since it's all random.
Its all random, but imo it seems certain that they have given many affixes much higher spawn chances, and even created some if and then functions on generating affixes.
For instance, almost every time I find an item with stats, it usually comes with other stats which as you know are mostly worthless.
So I guess what I am saying is its not so much random, as a stacked deck. Though if you play enough, you can eventually beat the cheating dealer as luck still plays a factor.

From what I can see, this game is not about loot. It's about grinding items to salvage/sell. There is no more items that you find and go "YES!! I found the SoJ!"

Thats exactly how i feel, the feeling of finding a legendary should be LEGENDARY but no its just when I see a legendary drop I say "oh cool look wep/armor but eh my blue/rare is way better"
Cant believe someone is complaining about this . lol Im wondering how sets are going to be. I have not found one set item yet. I know they said they were going to make them better this time. I wonder if people will use them for endgame.

Really? You obviously havent compared items in this game. Let me know when you find a legendary and have no use for it whatsoever.

He isn't so much complaining about the random loot as the stacked deck. Good loot should spawn more often, but blizzard has rigged it to ensure it doesnt.

I personally love the randomization. I feel like if you get something that is rolled really well you really get a good feeling out of that. I love that 99% of the items I get I'm going to get rid of.
The problem isn't the loot system, it's that we've got a few specific stats and affixes we want to max/min our character and unfortunately the two do not mix at all.
Legendaries could probably have a bit of an affix level increase, so that they're more than likely going to be better than a rare item, or a blue, but it just depends on the dice my friends. It very may well be incredibly much more difficult to roll a good legendary than a good rare/blue.
I love love love how random the loot is, no more easy gear treadmills please, I'd rather do the game 400 times for the 1% chance at the item over the next year than have my toon maxed out in a month and see people complaining about nothing to do.

yep I agree. it seems blizzard did not spend enough time calibrating the item system.
