I want to first say i think that blizz has done a great job bringing d3 back from the brink. Ive played since its very release, and where it has ended up is awesome. However, i still have some issues id like to see at least get some attention or explanation on.
1. Paragon
-Aside from getting more stat points and such on paragon lvls, what else is there? I feel like you should get some sort of extra incentive to be higher paragon. I have seen many people 600 lvls below me find items ive searched for for ages upon ages. I think a cool thing too look at would be an increase to leg/set drops every 100 para lvls. Start it at zero, and scale up. maybe.25% or .50% every hundred lvls. It would make it much more worth while to be 700 compared to lvl 100.
2. Crafting
-I know craft prices were dropped at one point. But apart from the fact of craft materials and amounts that are dropped(i will get into that next) why is stuff still super expensive? For example: I easily find 3-5x more yellows than blue or whites in a given T6 rift. i dont even pick up yellows. Whites rarely drop unless from a rack of some sort, and blues seem to mainly drop from chests, rarely monsters. Why then does it cost 72 blues to craft a bracer? shouldnt yellows be more expensive if they drop so much more often? I also think we should be getting more than one soul back when we salvaged a crafted item. Maybe return half of all mats used? or even a 1/4 of them? it would be super helpful. It is not the point of the game to spend the time farming blues or whites to be able to craft or enchant a certain item. That time should be spent rifting, bounties, grifts etc. something fun! Also, please explain why we cannot use vendor items as mats? Hell double, or even triple the prices. With the new Hoarder gem, 99% of all people in the game have more gold than they know what to do with.
3.Crafting Material Drops
-So first of this has baffled me since the beginning of time it seems. If an osidius goblin drops around 100 yellows, why doesnt it also drop around 100 blues and whites? Especially when all crafts and enchants(except for a few) cost more blue and white mats than yellows. Also, why is it that only RG's drop souls? why cant an osidius drop 1-5 of them? same with death breath. why not 1-5 of them as well? It would make the boring tasking of looting materials less time consuming, and up the time a player plays the actualy game to get better. Same with Rg in rifts and greaters. Why do they drop more yellows than whites and blues? example : 30 yellow/10 blue/2 white. that doesnt make sense to me. It should be an equal drop arcoss the board, or atleast close to it. Also, in respect to part 2 of this, why does it seem 90% of all white and blue drops come from chests or racks? It would be much nicer to see them drop almost as often as yellows from monsters. I seriously find myself more excited to see a blue/white drop from a monster than a soul. Obviously since i can keep plenty of stacks of yellow mats, they dont need to be touched. Yellow drops are honestly perfect at this point to me. So make blues and whites closer to the yellows rates, it would make this game much less boring mat farming and more fun farming for better items we can use.
4.Kadala
-I am ok with what you did to kadala. Made it more expensive, but upped the drop rate. Cool, no real issues there aside from the fact i got 90% of my mats from her. The bigger issue here is how hard it is to get the right 1 or 2h weapon you are sharding for. It seems to broad. In my opinion, it would be much easier to make a category for each type of 1hander and 2hander. Lets say im looking for a furnace. It would be nice to just shard 2h maces, and not every 2h out there. Somehow, you could make the leg drop rate a few % less if you make specific tabs, but at least i would know in a reasonable time ill get what i am searching for.
Would love to hear feedback on this, dont know if others have issues like this or not, but i know many of the people in my clan, and others i have played with have voiced their concerns, so i thought it was time to get this up and see if anyone from blizz could give me a better explanation on it! Looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks!
Paragon isn't supposed to be WHY you play, it's an extra on the side benefit OF playing. Pretty much there so when you don't find any good loot for awhile you can know at least you got some paragon XP.
I'd personally hate that change to Kadala, and honestly I don't really like her as it is. It's my own opinion but I hate knowing that I'll get most of the gear I want from her rather than actually farming.
They could add categories just so you could have the illusion of better chances for a specific kind of item. But then they would reduce the drop chance of furnace to compensate and we would be at the square one. That is how bureaucracy works, and that is Bli$$ard works.
Number 4. No. It would be too easy to get gear. Which is the main incentive to keep playing. Why would you keep playing when you had the best shit ?
They really need to sort out crafting mats asap. Blue to yellow ratio is way off.
And also. 500 cap of shards. Its just plain lame. I like to gamble in bulk. Gambling for weapons in the new system. 5 weapons at a time max.. Fuck that. Get the cap up to a few thousands atleast
I can agree with #2, #3, and #4, but with all due respect - suggestion #1 is terrible. Please do not increase the gap anymore and make it rain legendaries for high paragon players. If you're paragon 800 your gear is so much better than that of a paragon 200-300 player, you can clear more stuff faster and get more drops thanks to all the paragon bonuses already. Adding MF to that would bring back the prime mistake in D3V when MF (especially the 300% MF from paragon 100) was an absolute must and made paragon 100 players on MP10 get 20 (!) more legendaries than paragon 50 players on MP5, because of MF and killing speed. No, paragon is fine. Can also be seen by the fact that people risk getting banned by botting for high paragon levels because it gives you so much of an advantage.
A paragon 1000 player will already be about 20% stronger than a paragon 600 just thanks to paragon traits, and not even considering the fact that this player will have better gear, better gems, and more experience. I don't get why you want them to be 50% stronger and find 100% more legendaries, I just don't get it. Paragon is fine.
