I was just reading some of the first ever articles from Blizzplanet.com, and I come across talk of Hellgate London. ( keep in mind, this is in 2005 )PCGamer said:
"The heavenly graphics - powered by an engine built in-house, since none of the existing 3D engines could support the game's level of randomization - will certainly make adventuring in the Hellgate universe an all-new play experience."
What if Blizzard would be waiting for the NEXT big thingm to announce a game for. Like, a new type of computer STRICTLY gaming lets say, or a new Console. It would be smart if Blizzard made a game that would be one of the first for a system.
BOOM x-box 690 , everybody buys SC Ghost.
Of if a new addition to Ps3, and the X-box were added, and this would be so that the system can handle this certain game.
Blizzard are usually fairly good in how system taxing their games are, most set ups can take them. They may not be able to run them perfectly, but they still run them. My computer is from 2000, I had to update the video card coz i fried it, and it can take WOW, I just don't like WOW, that's why I don't play it.
And there console games are usually the same, well can't say for sure as they have yet to make a hugely taxing console game, one you need some powerful just come out console to play it.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
They put Diablo, Warcraft II and Starcraft on console, Starcraft ghost was to be on console. Plus the have Lost Vikings, some destruction derby game and some other game I forgot on Gameboy.
Thing is, when blizzard takes one of their main franchises and puts it on console it does fairly well, but the game is much better on PC.

Mostly old and outdated and/or failed projects.
Failed would depend on your definition of a failure.
They have never released a game that failed.
Lots of games get cancelled or post poned in the production stage, but that doesn't necessarily constitute a failure. Unless you think of it in terms of failing to get made or something.

Regardless of Ghost, Blizzard said they were ceasing development on consoles indefinitely last year. That seems pretty definite (or indefinite?) to me.
Mind you they advertised again yesterday or day before for mobile software and graphics staff. Maybe they are going to stick to PC's and phones.
Next-Generation games come out every 5-7 years. I think we're good. Not to mention Blizz doesn't make console games(Yet). There's constantly new computer upgrades.

Starcraft 64! Hell yeah! Screen-watching and camping SCVs with Wraiths for the win!
Lol. I always wanted to get Starcraft 64, but I didn't have that little special memory thing for the N64, so I couldnt get that or The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask... *Le sigh.*

I disagree. It would be Xbox 860 or 670.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Xbox 690, I ment, a new x-box.
What im trying to get at is, what if blizzard is producing a new game for the NEW next gen console that may come out in a few years.

Lost Vikings I believe was popular.
But yeh, old and outdated
"Cards and flowers on your window, your friends all plead for you to stay,
sometimes beginnings aren't so simple, sometimes goodbye's the only way."

Doesn't matter. They still spent money on it.

I'm going to go with next gen MMO with a mobile component!
Or do you mean games specifically for consoles?
