I'm looking for a build that provides a few key items:
spell I can spam with a low mana cost > Haunt
meat shields > Dogs and gargantuan + Zombie Handler
spammable aoe > Spirit Barrage
mana/health return > Big Bad Voodoo+Ghost Trance, Vision Quest
I am tempted to use Firebomb as the aoe, but until I actually use both spells it's hard to say which is more effective. Sacrifice is also an appealing spell that can provide very versatile affects with the runestones. It's not a spammable aoe so I'm not sure where I'd fit it in.
I absolutely don't want any dots or frogs or zombies. I may need to add a cc in later on, but as everyone can see, it won't be needed early. I'm hoping my meat shields will keep mobs busy enough not to need it.
if haunt increases damage well enough with attack power etc i approve.
not sure if bidbagvoodoo will be of much help looking at its cooldown. does the fetish's buff stay with you as you run through the dungeon?

Yeah my thought as well. Runed, 395 damage over 2 seconds is a huge amount. We'll see.
I feel from the wording that you only gain the benefit while in the ritual area, that only lasts for 20s (or 48s). Could be wrong, though.
My assumption is it's a buff that sticks with you wherever you go. There are two runes that specifically say "in the ritual area". So those that don't say that may not require staying still. If it does, that'll change whether I use it or not.
This build is the build I will be trying to work through HC with hense the meat shields will probably switch out the spiders for the fetish army with indigo rune later in the game..
Yeah, only two abilities don't have a cooldown...Haunt, Spirit Barrage. The other four do.

The base skill, and all of the rune effects except the one dealing with duration state within the area, though as you said only two specify it as ritual area, I don't know if that difference is meaningful or not.

Yeah good point. My initial thinking was that it was like Battle Shout from WoW. If you are close enough when it's cast you have the buff. The more I read it, the more it sounds as though the fetish will follow you for 20 seconds and as long as the others in your party stay close, they'll have the buff. Get too far and they lose it. If the fetish just stays where you cast it, then it doesn't sound so great unless the area is huge.
I also see that the base skill and two of the runes state that it will affect allies, stating nothing of the WD, though I guess the WD is an ally of the fetish?

Pretty sure he doesn't move.
Wow, good eye and memory there! That will probably change things for me then. Hmm.
Just prior to that they show the zombies climbing up three-high on each other's shoulders. I wonder if that is Zombie Charger....
It's Wall of Zombies with an Alabaster rune.
Ah there it is.
