Hey Community, a heavy reader but soft poster here
I started Playing D3 with my barb and got super walled on Act 1 and didn´t quite like the play style, then I rolled my monk and felt in love. The Playstyle, the skills, the overall was perfect for me.
I managed to get to farm Act 2 Before Patch 1.0.3 and then all my friends kinda quited the game for design flaws and rolled a DH to kill time, now with path 1.0.4 I give it a try again and remembered why I loved this class.
I've got back to the Monk forums and start seeing a lot of ppl posting 50k dps, 60k dps and so on, and when I checked mine I was rocking a shity 19k DPS, I managed to get a few Updates on my gear buy Now I don't know what I should get next to push my dps.
Right Now Im progressing in Act 3 (can do it all by my self but I die a lot and takes a lot of time)
Right now my stats are:
24.1k Dps (27.8k DPs with Breath of Heaven)
610 Resist
25% Crit
104% Crit DMG
1.73 IAS
884 LOH
30.2k HP
Any tip to help me pointing me what should I upgrade and which stats I should Improve is super appreciated.
Thxs for taking the time in reading this and in the helpful tips.

EDIT: My DH also haves Gear that maybe is an upgrade to my Monk but I couldn't make my mind if sacrificing the def stats was worth it.
Helm: The helm can roll up to 6 crit chance, of course depening on your budget you may not be able to get top end, but you wanna try for at least a tad amount of crit. Another big thing is experience gems. They are godly, make use of them.
Shoulders: Aim for 120+ dex with standard double resists equaling 90+.
Gloves: You can drop the crit damage on gloves for IAS because it scales better with fists of thunder and LoH. Aim for 8+ crit, and 6+ IAS. and 150+ dex.
Chest: Get some vit on that baby.
Neck: Decent try to just go for a straight upgrade with vit and dex.
Bracers: can go up to 6 crit, but yours are decent enough to just leave for now.
Ring 1: Drop crit damage for IAS and crit chance. Grabbing your resist or LoH is a plus.
Ring 2: Decent fine as is.
Belt: Aim for double resist 90+
Pants: Y u no vit?
Boots: Fine as is, try to go for 90+ resists.
Weapon 1: Some crit damage, some more crit damage, and then some regular damage of 700+
Weapon 2: Same thing.
Overall: Upgrade gems to stars minimum, And crit chance > everything else.
I would recommend grabbing weapons first
A LoH neck will make a big difference for you. Once you get that, if you find that you dont need as much LoH, replace the gems in your weapons with crit gems, and your dps will go up a lot.
Also, if you are farming act II or I then using MoC is fine, but with your low HP and resists in act III, you should really be using MoE with the armor rune. It will help your survival a lot. I would also probably switch transcendence with resolve (25% dmg reduction).

I think the next upgrade shoulg be the Helm, any advice???
Try to increase the DPS in the most efficient manner and the other items will come by naturally.
Your CC is low if you play a cyclone build, get this up to 30-40%.
I'll replace the purple gems to green gems for much more DPS, 80 or 90%x2.
Get some life sustain elements, life globes or LPK.
Life globes and LPK are in the right concept that you gain life on killing, so they are the most efficient.
With all these, you'll fly and laugh on elites.
The more DPS the better, so pop all the buff to engage MoC, BoH, BF.
Kick on the minions to warm up, when the elites come on you, hit them right at their head.
