I bet Bitter Pill will also be changed into something useless, with the direction they are following..
It seems like the need to maximize disc pool via obtaining "max disc" on each and every possible slot (and set bonus if possible) due to lack of regeneration/replenish resources will put a big strain on itemization options.
well this will basically fuck solo grifts up..
but i also think, that this will be a retarded high dps push for lighning dh in coop (with wd)
so.. coop 60+ grifts inc?
How is the dps gonna be higher if your sentries will shoot a lot slower than they used to? I don't think you can get to a breakpoint on your dh similar to 4.15 of the sentries. Even though they are making sentries deal double damage in relation to you, i'm pretty sure they sustained damage will be lower overall. Burst damage is higher sure but sustained damage will be alot lower. I don't think we will ever get to something that gets close to 5x 4.15 BL.Maybe next expansion or something.
Excellent changes . No more placing sentries and running around like a headless chicken. Hope they can work out the numbers though and keep M6 competitive.
First, contain your tears people since it's the first datamining pass and nothing is final. So everything could change completely.
Second, it's been stated multiple times (and i agree with that) that M6 is very strong but promotes a bad kind of gameplay where your success rate is based on which kind of mobs you find in a greater rift since the rate at which you place sentries is always the same and not about how you play (given the excpetion of the M6 lightning build, which requires hella of awareness).
Anyway, the changes to Nightstalker were more about perma SS status, and the changes to M6 were expected - you cannot complain about that because everyone knew this day would have come.
Only thing i care is that M6 gives us enough damage to justifiy its usage. Hope it promotes a more active gameplay - if it turns that DHs are broken, they will change things again and again.
On the topic of "clueless devs" not directly related to DH...
I really hope that this:
P2_ItemPassive_Unique_Ring_008 - Frenzy gains the effect of every rune.
Is not a legendary affix on one of the new belts because it might make Bastion's revered more useful but giving up on Pride of cassius (Or Chilanik's for speedruns) is just not going to work in anything serious (high gr). Pride is too good...
more likely it's going to be the Undisputed Champion belt
too much negativity here, guys, my main is DH also and I am bored with planting sentries and running around so I made all classes and now enjoy diversity, why do most of you cry when you did not event test it, I doubt blizzard will nerf DH just like that, they will give us power that we need but will be much more active. I remember how many times I just tried to use kridershot and shot and just abandon it when I realize that dmg coming from it is ridiculous. Now, all will come from it and skill will matter as it used to matter in vanilla
Crusader ponies and zombie bears are more like projectiles than pets.
I think Blizzard's (new? 2.1.2?) philosophy is "Pets are cool. It's cool if pets make up significant part (majority?) of your DPS. But they should not be your only source of DPS. Or at least, you should be actively working to support/buff/coordinate with your pets. Not run away from them."
However, I've not really played witch doctor in 2.1 so I don't know how their current design philosophy stacks up to how Sentry DH is currently being played.
SENTRIES are not YOU. YOU do not kill. SENTRIES kill. They are your minions/pets. Blizzard doesn't want you to deal no damage and just have powerful minions. I bet Zunimassa's 6p bonus will be similar, where your pets buff your damage and vice versa.
Zunimassa only has 5pieces of gear, where do you see a 6pc yet alone a bonus for it?
The change to M6 is welcomed and needed. The current gameplay of M6 was simply too strong in comparison with other builds, making it BIS, thus forcing you to play a mostly passive build. I think that any DH that played the M6 build for more than a month, or even since its conception, is happy about the change. My feelings as to M6 are: "Been there - done that."
The single most gameplay restrictive aspect of M6 has always been its gear requirements, especially since 2.1. 5 Slots, TNT, RoRG + Bombadiers were mandatory slots. Thus, we could choose from the weapon, bracers, second ring, belt and amu. Yet, the weapon and second ring has easily a single item as BIS, Soj + Etrayu.
The only thing from M6 I will be missing are the 4pc pets, especially the mov. speed, so a few para points from dex have to go into that now.
Otherwise, if this very early version of the "new" m6 comes close to what we will see later, I am excited to try out my Kridershot with Frostburns. The dmg. buff to elemental arrow which can still be spammed with a Kridershot should play nicely + perma freeze with Frostburns. This will now be possible thanks to the fact that TNT is no longer necessary. Also, quivers may grant more room now, depending on how much the dmg. multiplier of the increase per sentry is. I hope that this multiplier wont be so big as to make Bombadiers still BIS.
All in all, I am looking forward to something new. Change is good.
You are assuming that they don't change the legendary affix on Bombadiers too.

Good luck stutter stepping unavoidable damage at 35+. Frozen, ts, jail and reflect. With the damage bonus reflect is a one shot if we attk a mob.

Nice researching there dude... blizzard said they will bring 6pc bonus to all vanila sets, that includes Zunimassa.

DH will be a big nerf unless its to the people who know the stutter step playstyle with cluster arrow previously.... rather see sets be 5 piece but have more of a total amount for build diversity 7 pieces etc , allowing more items to be added into the build depending on what you find.
reflect is a flat amount, no damage bonus is gonna make you take more dmg like it used to be.
Nope. At least not atm. Otherwise pls explain why i do get nearly oneshoted from reflect with a +30mil toughness zDPS WD just from the toxin gem and/or piranhado in a +45 GR.
Because it's a flat amount?.... if it was based on your dmg you would recieve little to no reflect cause u are zdps and have no dmg...

Didnt see that in the datamined info, or are you taking their word like in this case?
"M6 DH is very strong, but we will not nerf it but will buff all the other classes to reach the same level of awesomeness"
"Our main philosophy is that you can never feel yourself weaker after a patch, then before"
Reflect scales, not sure why you dont see it unless you were perma smoke screening. Another interesting thing is your generators seem to do 400% more reflect than spenders. I fire a hungering arrow and its 1 shot but i can lfb them?

I am pretty sure reflect deals a set amount of damage that is modified based on difficulty and proc coefficients. That would be why at higher grifts you take more damage from reflect damage, and especially why hungering arrow will kill you more than cluster arrow. Most generators don't hit massive groups of mobs at once so they have a much higher proc coefficient, which means they reflect more damage.
But yeah as far as "passive" goes I see it as the playstyle of setting down some kind of skill that does its work over time, and then you just go off to some place where you won't die while whatever you summoned does all the work. Even if your pets and summons do a vast majority of your damage, if you have to fight with them (Or they leash) or have to do something to keep them alive and summoning them, it becomes more active. It's about continuous input for fighting in the same location (Moving spots requires resummons and such so everyone has to do something no matter what when moving).
Played at PTR and M6 is AWESOME right now. The burst damage with sentries is outrageous. A fire build using the fire one hander and cindercoat and changing the build to Loaded for bear and everything was being blowing out ou the water in AWESOME ways. Its just sooo much more fun. Never had a single problem with Reflect Damage in GR 37/38/39, when they start reflecting, just shoot the wall that your sentries still aim automatically. Do not fear my fellow DHs, our build is better than ever. Its pretty amazing seeing your sentries shooting for 300m a single shot. After that, I cant go back....thx god tower defense DH is gone! It was not a nerf FOR SURE....the damage is tooo damn high.

Haha, yeah! :)
Seriously, it's DATAMINED info before the PTR even seen the light of day. Just wait and see please.

You sure? Im not seeing anything , you dont get the solo rift stat on d3progress until you complete a 35 or higher.

If anyone want know, the build a used was this one http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#bPSkdO!ciUX!YccabY
Replaced tasker for a marauders glove, put a cindercoat, replaced etrayu for the fire onehander abd that was it. Have huge amounts of fun.
