I was playing 3 classes in RoS so far - wizard, witch doctor and DH, which is my favorite. And I've noticed a very strange thing about 2handlers. While playing a DH, I'm finding legendary 1h crossbows, their DPS is in average 2300-2600, and I'm also finding 2hand bows and xbows, their dps is 2200-2500. That may seem OK, since 2h usually have lesser attack speed and you have your Hatred being spended slower and you get bigger numbers because of the higher damage rolls on 2h.
But. When it comes to other weapons - like swords or axes. On 1h legendaries goes with 1900-2300 dps. But 2h can go up to 3000 dps. So why DH weapons are lacking so much DPS? Since now, for DPS puprose, 2handlers are almost useless. Only if you'd pick some of them due to their legendary affixes.
So, what do you guys think - is the situation with DH 2handlers ok or it needs to be fixed?
Funny you mention this really as of right now demon hunter is probably the only class where it's 2 hander variation of weapons is comparable to dual-wielding because of the ability to wear a quiver along side it. Also i've seen 2h bows roll 2700 - 3000, although the main stat on them is equal to that of a 1h main stat roll but again this is because you can wear a quiver with it which more than makes up for that.

Mmmm not really, DW with the right weapons blows a perfect quiver out of the water in solely dps terms. Never seen a weapon much above 2800 dps unenchanted either so....yeah.
The point is DH is the only class that can wield a 2h weapon with a quiver, which stat-wise counts like an offhand and you get by default the 15% AS bonus (at least) as if you're dual wielding.
Other classes cannot do so - only exception s Crusader, but they don't get compensation apart the increased survivability wielding a 2h and a shield (they also get gimped in movement speed and wrath generation).
if you notice, 1xbow, bows and 2h xbows can roll the eaxct same range of stats, while other 2h weapons roll way higher stats overall. That's because we're balanced around quivers.
Demon Hunters don't really have "two-handed" weapons and "one-handed" weapons. They just have "ranged" weapons. Realistically, you may note that Hand Crossbows look like they only require one hand to operate and both bows and crossbows require two hands. However, from a Diablo 3 gameplay standpoint, they are all the same category of weapon. They all roll the same damage and stat bonuses (adjusted for attack speed). The only thing that seems to change between the 3 types of DH ranged weapons are 1) base attack speed and 2) dual wield capability. It'd be like if monks could only equip 1-handed weapons and they could only dual wield fist weapons. All their weapons would roll the same stats and similar damage, but one type is dual-wield-able.
Kechop - yes, slow weapons do more damage per skill activation. They still do the same damage over time as fast weapons, but obviously not as important if you're only concerned with short-window burst damage.
Now while most of you enjoy your T1-2-3-4 Rifts ill stick to my Solo Rifts on T6 until you can show me one , just one video where some DH soloes packs without harrington waistguard or a powerpylon conduit in lets say 5-10seconds in a RIft without extrahealth or healthlink modifiers without using an Xbow because i´ve yet to see some DH that i can take seriously playing with 1handers and if htey do , they play on t1-2-3-4 never higher because "mobs have too much health" no you just dont deal enough dmg with your clownweapons and blizzard cannot into weaponry either properly because they´re too concerned with nerfing unique passives on unique items to make them as boring as other items.
I´ll be here all weekend and while i may sound extremely narcisstic and full of myself i can assure you that ive been playing since release and tested everything there is a reason for my behaviour and im very passionate about the class i play for years now.
You can very reliably clear T6 in 12 mins or less playing full glass cannon with Unity on follower so it's not exactly a huge feat. As you've noted, 1handers restore Discipline extremely quickly through Nightstalker and through this + Pride's Fall helm I can reliably mash Smoke Screen and just tunnel entire champ packs in T6 down. The rest of your post is completely unneeded - most people here (I hope) are smart enough to test their own eDPS and equip themselves appropriately. There is no universal answer on "what's better, 2h vs DW vs 1h quiver" because it all depends on your own gear.
Just to add - the topic is 2h DH weapons VS 2h other class weapons, so basically the entire Kechop post is offtopic.
Also, while he has a part of reason, a 20% damage granted by Calamity special or set bonuses and such are things he's not even accounting for, making his points completely biased.
Just because you see bigger numbers on screen it doesn't mean it's more effective. Yes, 2h xbows have bigger burst and less mobility and everything else - sorry to burst your bubble, but actually not dying is better for farming than your burst damage.

I'm not seeing math, I'm seeing a lot of bragging but not a lot of math. You're stating the obvious by saying "2h hits bigger than 1h." The individual attacks do not matter, it's the overall damage in a window that matters. Equivalent DPS is going to be equivalent overall.
That being said, yes 2h is better if you're almost a glass cannon, stacking as much damage as you can and hoping to burst things down. If you can do that in T6 then more power to you, I really want to see your character because that sounds cool. However against anything that outlives your pool, you'll still have to build that back up, and 1h builds resources VERY quickly.
I don't want to turn this into a dickwaving contest but I do want to see your character. I personally prefer 2h and I want to see your very effective setup.
