i actually really like this build. only thing i'd change is replace rain of vengeance (30 second cooldown is pretty painful) with either entangling shot (indigo runestone for 6 targets slowed, i think this skill/rune combo is going to be vital for alot of demon hunter builds) or caltrops to add a slow. pretty necessary for later difficulties. this will allow you to replace the thrill of the hunt passive with something like grenadier (reduces hatred cost of cluster arrow by 10 and increases hatred generation from grenades by 2)
with this combo, you can gain 9 hatred (at that level of runestone) per use of grenades and allows you to shoot 3 cluster arrows in quick succession should you so desire. if thats the case, maybe replace the rune in Cluster Arrow to crimson, increasing the base damage by 150% weapon damage.
another point is that besides marked for death, you really dont have any disc users and there is a lack of mobility (gotta keep away from the baddies) so maybe replace Hungering Arrow (grenades will alow plenty of hatred generation) with vault w/ either golden, indigo, or obsidian runestones, or shadow power w/ indigo runestone (40% movement speed while active in adition to 30% faster attack speed)
If you have Sharpshooter in your build, I think it's best to have at least one ability that can do a ton of damage within one second. Because the passive will give this ability a ton of crit chance if you've been walking around for the past 10+ seconds or you just got back from town. An ability like Fan of Knives or Multishot will get the most out of the passive because every target hit will get the crit chance bonus.

Thanks for the feedback. I also agree that I felt like I needed something slowing for the monsters, or atleast to increase my chance of getting out alive. I figured with this build lots of IAS weapons will help.

I found your suggestions very useful. I am still slightly unaware of how the Hatred gathering works, just going to have to play it by ear hehe. But I agree with you, I was going to originally crimson the cluster arrow.

I actually looked through the builds before reading the text so that I could draw my own conclusions first and then proceeded to follow the discussion. The final product looks a lot better with Rain of Vengeance taken out. I doubt it would serve its purposes in PvP at all (unless in some very unique builds/circumstances) with the cooldown being what it is.
In any case, I'll post a build I have in mind for my Demon Hunter as well and let it go through the forge of astute minds here to refine and hone it. Without going into it overmuch, the main idea behind it is to mix PvP (though I am not a very big fan of it and will chiefly be fighting friends for laughs) with heavier emphasis on EvP, Utility mixed in with single target damage with crowd control is the main aim and a balance I hope to strike. So... Here it is. Critique away, my friends! =P

You have a great build. One of my favourite combos is indigo rune w/ makred for death. Great combo I imagine. Your build is great for endurance, with all the back flips and bonuses associated with surivial. Great for hardcore!! I personally like to be a bit more agressive with my damage, and just run away period if I feel impending doom. Working on another buid haha so fun!
I was looking at the Sharpshooter passive and thinking of its synergy with Archery passive with a crossbow (+100% critical hit damage).
Wouldn't that make it 100% bonus damage on crit? And therefore for a golden rune (as long as patch 13 doesn't change it) with rain of vengeance give a ranged attack at an almost guaranteed 1200% weapon damage (before extra modifiers on top) at range on up to 9 targets and stunning them? That sounds way too good to be true, an insane opener for a difficult pack and all you have to do is be patient. Can someone check if the math is right and if it might work this way?

I focused on AoE and kept in mind I still wanted it to be slightly PVP. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions... would love to hear them!
