I found both of these weapons in the same run, I am wondering which one would provide more dps for a WW barb.
If you can provide math, that would be awesome. It's my understanding that your OH dps makes very little difference. You want high stats and a fast attack speed.
Basically it's 9 attack speed vs 63 strength. The actual dps number of the weapon doesn't matter. It's the stats I care about. Sprint doesn't use you OH dps number, it only uses the stats from it, and the speed of the OH weapon.
You want as much LoH as possible on your OH. But you also want as much STR as possible. IAS isn't really that big of deal for WW Barb spec. So, the Grim Sunder would be the best candidate. Very high LoH, some STR, Socket (put a 70+% crit damage gem in there) and you are set for Off Handed Weapon!
It's not 9 attack speed because a sword has naturally a slower attack speed. It's 0.03 attack speed. And yes, the 63 str > 0.03 attack speed imo. Also the extra 300 dps will help during whirlwind.
The dagger has twice the dps and twice the strength... I'm sad for you that you even had to make this thread. LOH isn't the end-all be-all stat, once you have a little bit of it in nado spec you're fine. Healing 300 per hit vs 600 per hit doesn't matter when you hit 20x per second.
OH DPS doesn't matter at all for WW Spec. Your Offhanded weapon is basicly just a huge Life on Hit number. THAT'S IT.
OP = Sword is better for your spec if you want to put it in offhand. With that amount of LoH you can look for a MH without much LoH on it which opens up better itemization on other stats.
P.S: For a Main Hand, I would totally agree that the Dagger is better. Although, read OP carefully, it's for a OFFHAND he's asking.

Offhand weapon damage does matter somewhat... it is still used for whirlwind damage and attacks done by the offhand weapon. If you take 2 identical weapons but one has higher damage then it will always be better. It isn't like you want low damage on purpose.
Also daggers as a mainhand is a very bad idea. You want a slow mainhand with high damage so pretty much only maces so that you can get the 10% crit bonus from weapon mastery. You could use an axe too and still get the bonus but for an axe to have the same damage range as a mace the actual DPS of the axe would need to be higher thus costing more and being harder to find.
