    Really? That seems disappointing. To be honest to me that seems like a bug because nowhere in the set bonus does it say "you" or "your damage" it just says deal 400% increased damage. Like the new IK set which is 500% it is literally the same thing and that applies to your pets and everything else. I feel like it should work with sentries but that would be really powerful if it did.

    From testing I feel like the strongest setup is running Nat set with Marauder. You run 5 Nat pieces with 3 Marauder pieces and RRoG plus the new belt that does the 4000% damage when you use Rain of Vengeance.


    Skill build is the same as current Marauder setup except you swap out something for Rain of Vengeance (I swapped out Preperation).


    The reason this is better than using normal 6p Marauder is that the bonus for the set reads "Your skills deal 100% increase damage for each active sentry." which is a much worse bonus than the new Nat bonus which is just a flat 400% damage increase similar to the current IK set. This will also apply to damage dealt by your sentries.


    With the current Marauder bonus you deal 11x damage with your spender: 100% initial damage + 100% from each sentry = 600% damage + 5 sentries doing 100% damage = 1100% damage.


    With the Nat bonus of 400% you deal 30x damage with your spender: 100% initial damage + 400% from the set = 500% + 5 sentries also doing 500% each = 3000% damage.

    The set wont make it to live servers in the current state. The problem is the new 6 set bonus increases your damage by 500% for everything. Unlike existing sets like DH Marauder or Monk Sunwuko which only target a few specific skills and increase your damage only with those, the new IK increases all sources of damage you deal by a 6 times multiplier. This means all proc items like Thunderfury, Shard of Hate, Andarials, legendary gems, WotB - Slaughter, and even conduit are increased by 6 times damage.


    It is absolutely insane in the current state and Barbs are doing 61 rifts in 8 minutes currently on the PTR.

    OP = Sword is better for your spec if you want to put it in offhand. With that amount of LoH you can look for a MH without much LoH on it which opens up better itemization on other stats.

    P.S: For a Main Hand, I would totally agree that the Dagger is better. Although, read OP carefully, it's for a OFFHAND he's asking.
    Offhand weapon damage does matter somewhat... it is still used for whirlwind damage and attacks done by the offhand weapon. If you take 2 identical weapons but one has higher damage then it will always be better. It isn't like you want low damage on purpose.

    Also daggers as a mainhand is a very bad idea. You want a slow mainhand with high damage so pretty much only maces so that you can get the 10% crit bonus from weapon mastery. You could use an axe too and still get the bonus but for an axe to have the same damage range as a mace the actual DPS of the axe would need to be higher thus costing more and being harder to find.
