So far I am having a wonderful time; the patch is great! I just have a concern when talking about the greater rifts and the tiered levels.
I was thinking that when I reach high levels with a team, and we are racing for the highest level or whatever, the monsters have SO much health that the ONLY viable option seems to be to use two weapons - Furnace or Rimeheart. They obviously either do a % of health or instantly kill. So why should someone pick up my DH when they could instead have a barb or a monk or whomever with a Furnace/Rime. Are you thinking of giving DH something special (IE: A weapon to do % like furnace or instant kill of some sort)? Or do DH's just die off around level 40 or so when basic damage no longer is useful, where you NEED % health attack/weapons to do ANYTHING useful?
Of course it's the equivalent of getting a Furnace proc every 20 seconds... I doubt that this is the new hotness. I'm thinking they will do something to remove %-based things from the game. If not, it's the only viable endgame for high GRifts.

Maybe. In the meantime, they're still here, and still working just fine on followers
You still have to play another class to get a furnace for your DH. Besides, they seem to be trying to remove as much randomness as possible from the whole greater rift idea so i'm guessing these items will lose their effect or something inside them.
Play another class *and* get lucky.
Bul-Kathos is much more common, and isn't random at all. IIRC, it's 1% of the mob's current life per tick, so the early ticks can be huge.
It's .4% for 5 yards around you. Not exactly stellar. And won't work if you get one-shot by the mobs.
It will work much better then any other ring on a follower. I just throw an ess of johan on my follower and stack attack speed. I will try Bk ring since I have 3-4 of them anyways collecting dust

As already mentioned by meth68, it's a great ring for a follower, specifically Templar because of the short range. And .4% of a 8G rift boss means you'll get early ticks above 300M, that's not half bad for a follower
I *think* it's a flat %dmg with the ring. The number usually given is 0.4% of the mob's current HP each second, and possibly an additional 0.4% each time the mob hits you.
