We killed around ~25 Uberbosse with full Group on T4-5, and we bairly got enouth Parts to build 1 Ring.
Left alone the rediculous Droprates for the Keys from the Wardens...took almost 2 Weeks to get 7 Machines (me alone).
The other People in Group also had 7-8 Machines each.
The Barbarians Ring didnt even had Strength on it...
The other 2 People in Group didnt manage to build a Ring at all... after 25 kills.
The Proc is non existant on my Wizard... it simply doesnt proc at all.
Must be bugged.
And the Barb also compainling, that he only gets a proc all 100 Hits or so.
It's a current form of "end game gear chase". They probably don't want people to get rings like candy like when it had 100% drop chance on MP10. I think they left the drop chances really low for these rings to be something to grind for. If you don't like the concept of grinding for the ring, don't do it. They have just as much of a chance to be good as any other ring you pick up or craft. RNG is RNG.
Hello, fellow wizard here my ring procs regularly I don't believe it be bugged. Everything else you said seems to be accurate though, took forever to farm and finally build 2 of them, first 1 went to my chantress second I am using the roll wasn't horrible but meh.
I can't believe they changed the proc from the cool hellfire that split outwards to a pool of lava Guess I won't be going for this ring anytime soon.

Yeah, IMO the Hellfire Ring has gone from a grind to craft the best ring in the game to a grind to craft the best twink item in the game. About the only thing good the Hellfire Ring that really stands out over other legendary/set rings is the fact it can be used at any level with a solid amount of bonus xp.
The ring is still extremely good, especially if you are fortunate enough to have a good roll. But so is pretty much every other legendary ring in the game. It's just this particular level 70 ring can also be used at level 1.

Oh pitiful shadow lost in the darkness,
Bringing torment and pain to others.

Thats the old Effect on the Ring from the Beta : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TZUc9A1yAw#t=480 (at 8 Minute)
This was COOL, and it was the mainreason why we even went farming for this.
For the new Proc i cant seem to find a Video...but it looks like a Pool of Lava and it does almost no damage at all.
