posted a message on Well, Blizzcon has let me down

Don't get me wrong. Necro class in D3. Okay, that's pretty cool. Diablo 1 built into D3? Sure, that's...neat. But in my eyes, this is Diablo's 20th anniversary. I was expecting something JAW DROPPING! And while these additions will no doubt be fun, I don't feel they live up to what could have been and should have been incredible Diablo news.

I, like many, had my hopes set for a few things. A Diablo 4 announcement would have been worthy of the 20th Anniversary. I personally would have been happy with a Diablo 2 HD remake. Whether they decided to make an exact clone or whether they wanted to add or improve certain aspects of the game, a D2 HD remake would have been most welcome. I also wouldn't have been opposed to an entirely new game based in the Diablo Universe yet separate from the core Diablo games. Any of those announcements would have been welcome for Diablo's 20th anniversary.

Now while this is only my personal opinion, and I may be in the minority here, but to me these announcements are lacking. They would have been acceptable for just about any other Blizzcon in my eyes, but this year is special and I feel the announcements don't reflect that. Now I acknowledge that Blizzcon isn't over yet and there's still a chance for something else to be announced, but as it stands right now, I feel the Diablo news from Blizzcon is once again somewhat lackluster and it's just a bit heartbreaking.

posted a message on How do you not get bored of diablo

My personal answer? I do get bored. However, I'm in the group of people that has never understood how others can keep playing a game like this for months/years on end and still have fun with it. With Diablo 2 even, I'd start a game, beat Normal, then Nightmare and by the time I got through Hell difficulty, I was done with the game and ready to shelf it for a year. I could always go back though after about a year and reinstall and play it and have a blast; but after a few weeks, I'd need to shelf it again for approx another year. Yet there were people that literally played it for hours and hours nearly every day from the moment it was released until the moment D3 came out and while yes, it was an incredible game, I just couldn't understand how they didn't get bored out of their skulls.

posted a message on Please nerf healing monk

When you're trying to be competitive, there's always going to be a 'best' build, 'best' group composition, 'best' class etc. Unfortunately that's true in this instance (it would seem). If you want diversity, then you'll have to sacrifice optimization. In other words, you can make runs without a healing monk right now and have fun with it, and even do well. Just don't expect to get #1 on the leaderboards.

posted a message on Barbs in 2.3

I'm not a pro by any stretch, but if I was to guess, I'd say WW is still on top because of that 40% damage reduction given from the Wastes set. The survival it provides is just far too imperative and unfortunately the other sets don't offer any kind of compensation for it. And unfortunately, once we've invested that far into the set, it's just most efficient to get the rest.

Survival is just too important for us as a melee class and I think every melee class will be using whatever set that will provide the most survival especially since after the patch crowd control is getting nerfed. Though maybe I'm way off base here and there's something fundamental I'm completely missing.

posted a message on Patch 2.3: Botter's Heaven?
    Quote from Bagstonego-next

See, that's exactly what I don't get. This attitude is the same as in D3V - "you don't like the AH? Don't use it". If the cube goes live as is, Blizzard will need to fix it so that high-end players have to do something, because with bot-supported cache supplied they'll be done gearing after a week. And I mean pitch perfect gear with everything 650 main stat ancient rolls and so on. It DOES affect you, because after a while drop rates will be lowered, material cost for re-rolling will be increased, and so on; just like the AH, where drop rates became ridiculously low in the end such that casual players found about one item per week.

This is not the time to look the other way and say "I don't care". There's a harmful thread to the entire community.

Basically this. Let's say 2 months after the patch goes live Blizzard says, "We underestimated how effective it was for players to roll perfect quality gear with the Kanai Cube, so to address this, we've adjusted the recipe requirements appropriately. Kanai Cube recipe requirements have been increased."

This could easily be a real possibility and the reality being it's only really the botters that have said perfect gear and the reguluar Joe players are still stuck with their moderate gear except now for them to reroll an item, instead 50 Forgotten Souls they need 250 with a bunch of other inflated craftings materials. (numbers are just placeholder examples but it gets the point across).

People that say, "Botting doesn't affect me so I don't care" are just fooling themselves. Botting very much affects everyone that plays the game and the player base shouldn't passively stand by and allow it to further ruin an otherwise good game.

You need to find a vendor called Kadala (she's in all town hubs), she will sell you gear for Blood Shards. Spend them there and then you can pick up more

Thats just it.. I went into a rift (never seen a blood shard before then.. I tried to pick one up and I couldnt.

I guess the best way to explain is its like trying to use a different char item and you get the message saying you cant use it.. does that make sense? Sorry its taken me ages to get this far "when" ive been able to get online and now Im not playing solo Im left wondering whats happening.. sorry guys.. newbie here

You probably never noticed your character picking up blood shards because they are automatically picked up by moving over them, just like gold. If you weren't actively looking for them, you likely just didn't ever notice you were getting them. However, once you hit your maximum capacity, the game won't let you pick up any more, leaving the left overs on the ground for you to see in clear view.

Hopefully that makes sense. Whenever this happens, just open your inventory and look towards the bottom next to your gold total and it should show you how many blood shards you've picked up. If you place your mouse cursor over that number, it will also show you what your maximum capacity is. When you're at your maximum, simply head back to town and spend some at the NPC Kadala. Once you've spent your blood shards, you'll be able to go back into your rift to pick up what you couldn't previously just by walking over them, you don't even need to click them.

    Hope this helps.

blood shards are a currency next to your gold btw, mouse over it to see how many can u carry.

I did and I cant pick them up even with an empty inventory

Blood shards do not go into your traditional inventory like a sword or ring would. Blood shards are just a currency number, like your gold number, and you can view how many blood shards you have in your inventory screen at the bottom next to your gold number. Unlike your gold however, there is a limit as to how many you can carry at once. A new player just hitting level 70 would not be able to carry any more than 500 blood shards. If you try to run over blood shards on the ground and it's telling you your inventory is full, it means you're at your current maximum capacity of blood shards and you need to spend them at Kadala in town.

If however on the extremely rare chance you check your blood shards and are not at maximum capacity and you still are receiving this message, then it's clearly a bug and you'll need to contact Blizzard. However, I've never heard of this being an actual bug. Odds are, you just hit your cap and didn't quite understand why you were receiving an 'Inventory Full' message without a full inventory, which is understandable for new players.

posted a message on can give me some advice in WW build u.u

If survival is an issue, it's absolutely okay to use your scoundrel with unity until you find a templar relic. The templar will certainly be better but you have to work with what the game gives you.

I did a search and didn't find it, but given it's unique effect, does anyone know if the Corrupted Ashbringer's effect can be added to the cube?

I heard Ashbringer doesn't work. Can't confirm though.

Yeah, I just re-watched the video no the front page showcasing the cube. It appears that all the possible items are listed in alphabetical order and when he clicked the list of possible weapons, there was no Corrupted Ashbringer listed :| Makes me a little sad. Oh well, my hunt for The Furnace continues.

posted a message on Did Blizzard just say "Ok, let us give players unlimited gold if they so desire" ?
The way I see it, the 'main' reason Blizzard decided to implement the Boon of the Hoarder along with the Realm of Greed that nets a player millions of gold per clear is mainly for seasonal players.

When a new season starts, you're starting from scratch. Level 01 and no gold. Blizzard wanted to make sure these players had an easy/efficient way to obtain gold without grinding mindlessly for hours and hours just to upgrade their gems or to afford multiple re-rolls on select pieces of gear. So it was either something like the Realm of Greed and the Boon of the Hoarder, or nerf costs. Personally, I think the route they took is much more entertaining.

posted a message on Greater rifts not so great?
I was noticing legendary explosions at first. I was like, 'HOLY CRAP 4 LEGENDARY DROPS!' etc. These only kept up while I still had gems to collect. When my collection of gems was complete, the total legendary drops per Greater Rift run dropped significantly. 1-2 legendary drops see to be the most common for me now. I'm extremely lucky to see 3 drops at the end of one and it's happened to me several times where I've literally got 0.

However I tend to lean towards believing the true meaning behind the greater rifts lies with the legendary gems. Though I don't think the OP's fears are unfounded. Once I have all the gems I want ranked up to 25-30ish, I very well may stop doing them altogether. I tend to agree with his assessment in that I get more legendary drops in the time it takes me to do a regular T6 rift run than I get doing the average greater rift run.

posted a message on Is there a craftable legendary guide for new 70 Demonhunters?
I know I've seen a few video guides for other classes that recommend craftable legendary items for new level 70 characters. After a quick forum search for such a video on DH, I came up short.

I just leveled my DH that's been 60 forever to 70 and truth be told, I really know next to nothing about the class. I believe I have most if not all level 70 legendary crafting recipes and plenty of mats so if anyone has any suggestions or have a link to a video with a guide, I'd really appreciate it.

posted a message on Do legendary gems function in your follower's jewelry?
Well, I generally don't rely on my follower for damage, so I'd probably rely on giving them utility gems.

I'm thinking rank 50 Bane of the Trapped for the 30% movespeed reduction aura, rank 50 Gem of Efficacious Toxin for increased damage against poisoned targets from all sources and rank 50 Zei's Stone of Vengence for % chance to stun for extra crowd control.

Perhaps I'm wrong at dismissing my follower's damage though. If they can dish out some solid numbers with legendary gems, that might be a thing.
