Hey guys, I just wanted to post here my results with farming the chest on T6.
I'm playing a Wizard with a 200 MF build, using Force Armor (only take up to 35% my HP in a single hit) and Teleport in order to open all the chest. Will keep this up to date and get an average for you guys once there are enough. The average run time is of 1 minute and 30 seconds, this counts load time, warp time, death time (to go back to town) and quitting time.
First Legendary: 7 runs, Set Ring.
Second Legendary: 11 runs, Leg Armor
Third Legendary: 3 runs, Leg Helm
Forth Legendary: 6 runs, Leg Helm
Fifth Legendary: 1 run, Leg Wand
Sixth Legendary: 4 runs, Leg Sword
Seventh Legendary: 9 runs, Leg Amulet
Eighth Legendary: 21 runs, Leg 2h Sword
Ninth Legendary: 6 runs, Set Wand
Tenth Legendary: 4 runs, Set Ring
Eleventh Legendary: 5 runs, Leg Helm
Twelfth Legendary: 1 run, Leg Boot
Thirteenth: 12 runs, Leg Dagger
Chest have been Stealth Nerfed: 60 runs with no Legendary.
I'm not sure, I remember that was the case in pre-loot 2.0, but I think they made MF affect chest again after that. But still, I don't need gear with a Wizard, since I don't need to kill anything, so may as well have MF, who knows
2. What are the results if you run in non-MF gear?
No route, CoA is a static instance, you just rush towards where the chest spawn, there are about 12 locations in total and an average of 5 chest spawn.
I have no idea with no-MF, but MF, if working with chest, only buffs legendary drop by 20%, so it's not all that high.
I did this last night. First, run backwards (get the checkpoint outside Azmodan's door on T1, then remake on T6. Take TP to checkpoint and run back to the waypoint). Second, with full defensive talents and some crap toughness gear, I'm at 40mil toughness. I don't even take damage, more or less.
Runs are about 1m05sec. I get ~6 legendaries / hour.
As much as I would prefer Rifts to the 1# place to get loot, t6 Core runs just smokes everything else out of the water when it comes to Legendaries per hour.
I have been doing nothing but Core runs on Torment 6 for the past two days. I am averaging around 4legs per hour, with worst "no legendary streak" being 1h 30min, and my best being 8 in one hour (a friend of mine got 11 in one hour as his best).
I farmed this on T6 for one hour today and timed each run. I was playing a crusader with as much movement speed skills as I could. Each run took about 1:10-1:30, and I was able to complete 44 runs. I managed to get 9 legendaries.

True, I'm averaging one drop every 10 and a half minutes or so.
Just don't let players open chests while in combat similar to how we can't change skills.. problem solved.
1-2 legionaries per hour from rifts is plenty.
What "problem" are you referring to exactly? If people want to do mind-numbing CoA runs over and over and over again in a non-competitive game, who cares?

Especially since you can't trade or sell Legendaries/Set.
Time to put a limit on how many games you can create per hour... Apparently the limit they have is too low.
thats bs the better way is are buff the elite drops
How is that gonna help? The whole thing about chest runs is that they drop TOO many in little time. about 4-7/hour at the "lowest". How is buffing elites gonna help that? We'll have the problem that WoW is in all over in D3 then, where all the 5 hours played chars have full legendary and is endgame before you finish a rift.
They need to either set a max game per hour/half hour, or lower it from chests in general, aswell as buffing slightly in rift/bounty from t1-up
Those runs are way too op. I used a stop watch on my wiz and the slowest run took me 27 secs, usually the run ended at 23/24seconds. This net me around 7 to 9 legs/hr. No way you could achieve this otherwise. So to remove those runs (if Blizzards wants to do so) they simply should make an elite/champ worth killing, either by giving bonus stuff out of them or simply let them have a leg once in a while.
Why is that the most rewarding way to get your hands on gear and not actually killing monsters, as this game is all about (should be)?
Most people don't do this kind of thing, so if Blizz is going to nerf chests because a niche group of players torment themselves for hours on end, that's not very smart. Those who chose to do this kind of thing for hours and hours, nevermind how silly you may think of it, are actually doing some pretty hard, mind-straining work to get those legendaries.
Let them have their "fun" and enjoy the game their way.
Decided to go for an hour of core yesterday night... went on for 50 minutes without anything, then 1 game dropped two legendaries... One of them was an insane firebird helm. GG.

21 in 3h20m last night.
5 in 1h05m earlier today.
39% MF from the topaz in hat.

I find drop rates in general are fine.
