Funny to see you conveniently ignore my post and others, in which we addressed every single point you made, and instead proceeded to reply to the other members.
Pietrak : But I am, I am. I allready played more hours since the last patch than since xmas. But as some other posters have pointed out, maybe my idea of endgame is not what the devs have in mind.
Zero : I replied to the posts that are not flaming me or assuming with wild imagination.
Loot 2.0 is great. Many of you are wearing gear from a game ruined by an AH so you can't find any upgrades. Many others have not played D3V enough to get BiS in every slot because AH centered gear was horribly unfun. This will balance out for many of you at level 70. But I certainly hear your anguish that to fix the game for yourself you must buy it again. Blizzard certainly could have offered a %discount per patch you played or something like that. 80% off if you played every major patch.
Or you could just play the game with A a new character, or B just play the game with your current character because as you said everything will change come ROS.Buying ROS is like buying a Tabula Rasa in Diablo 3. You're resetting most of the bad choices the design team made in Vanilla and fixing them to work for you.
Twoflower : The new loot is light years ahead of Vanilla, the only real problem is the BOA and the extremely frequent Smart Drop. I haven't found a Legendary that is useful to any other class besides my wizard when on my wizard. I'd sometimes like to find some gear for my Barb too, but with the way Smart drop is working it just isn't possible which sucks. When you get ROS and start leveling through 60 you'll see that your gear becomes very useless quickly. Your damage will see a bump, yourtoughness your healing all will see a bump. Maybe you have some pretty good gear, and are just getting someshitty RNG rolls. IknowI've found a lot of useless items, but I have been able to find a few upgrades here and there. They'll come. At least it wont be500 legendaries till you see a .1 damage increase like vanilla.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
Well I have been looking at D3 for the first time in months after everybody got all excited about the patch. I am not impressed.
First : legendaries : It's raining them now, great. They are still bloody useless though. I just hope that that will improve when we get the new legendaries. But the ones dropping right now are as useless as they were before loot 2.0.
Rares : well great, now rares almost always have the main stat i need and also a 200+ vitality roll added to it. The vast majority of it is still just for disenchanting though. Yes, the rares are more tailored towards your class. But they still suck. If you have 200+ of main stat and vit, you can be pretty sure that it will neither have all resist nor any damage stats.
So all in all I have not found one single item so far that was a slight upgrade over the items that I was able to buy in the Ah ( like back in november ) for a few millions. I just disenchant more items with the proper main stat now.
Things will not get much better after RoS hits either. There will be a little run while leveling, and then you will find some quick updates at 70, but i give it a week or two at max before we are in the same position again, that we have tons of drops and none are upgrades. At least back with the AH you could turn all this mediocre gear into some gold and buy an upgrade every now and then. Now we are just at the absolute mercy of the RNG gods.
Seriously!? You are comparing level 60 BiS items to items intended for those coming to RoS new and leveling to and through level 60 on their way to 70!? Seriously??
sorry i had to wipe my eyes from laughing... dude, RoS is adding 10 more levels... items right now might seem like toilet, but they have crazy potential. they didn't want people stacking CC CD and IAS anymore. that's boring. really really boring. so is buying all of your gear on the AH. i'm glad they're getting rid of it. as far as loot 2.0 is concerned, i agree, but i also disagree. the mechanics of the game have changed, therefore you don't NEED the damage stats and all that res anymore. i've found some complete ass items so far. i've also found some pretty good ones. with 10 more levels, those items will get that much better. 800+ mainstat and 800+ vit on 1 item? yes, please! kindly do us all a favor and simply play the game, or don't, but for christ's sake keep it to yourself. <3
Before the patch, I was farming MP4 somewhat comfortably with the best gear that I could afford on the Auction house in the hopes that I would get enough levels/dps to be able to attempt to get a hellfire ring, which is the only part of the game I hadn't done yet. There was no thought of whether or not I would get a legendary upgrade, after playing the game somewhat frequently since it was released, I had NEVER EVER gotten a legendary drop that was even remotely good for my class. I found, maybe four or five legendaries in my career.
I didn't have the gold to get the top 1% of gear (as it cost BILLIONS of gold, hilariously absurd to me, buying the best gear for "millions" and not finding upgrades yet I think is simply impossible unless you got lucky with bids or someone put something up for cheap), but I got what I could (manticore, dead man's legacy, natalya's, buriza for freeze scoundrel etc.) I didn't even bother crafting because it was largely useless except for archon armor. Why craft anything ever when you can just get a weapon with a socket, throw a red gem in it and faceroll to inferno? Or even better, one with reduced level requirement and keep it until you're 60?
What I didn't like was that most of the items were garbage and I didn't have any fun with the item hunt and basically had to turn to the AH every time I needed an upgrade to progress through difficulty levels. loot 2.0 hits and I get a legendary cloak 2 hours in and lo and behold its a new addition and the best item I've ever seen. I have also found a few more upgrades along the way and I'm pleased with the drop rate, not too fast, but I also don't feel like I'm wasting hours of playtime to get nothing or an item that will have useless stats. That next great drop feels like could be right around the corner instead of light years away. Crafting will matter, gold will matter. The possibilities feel wide open with legendary affixes, rather than narrow. I could change my gameplay completely with the right item. I love it!
Saying legendaries are useless is absurd to me, they've never been more interesting/fun/powerful. Honestly I think that the smart loot is a bit too high for rares, but it doesn't really bother me that much.
I love cursed chests, I love the density changes, I love the drop rate, I love new follower dialogue when they see elites, I love that I can play around with new builds at high difficulties and not be locked into a cookie cutter build just to survive, I love just about everything in this patch. Getting nephalem glory orbs is fun and the pools of reflection are a neat addition. I actually feel like I'm progressing and getting rewarded for my time, and the new paragon system makes leveling alts a blast.
The patch has been out for less than 1 week and you expect to find godly items already? Do you work for anything in your life? Give it a few months and then bitch.

TLDR: I love 2.0
