I've been seeing a lot of fanmade patches and ideas coming to the forum and I thought I'd give one a try. Forgive the text only patch note as I have no talent for art, and after you read this probably no talent for game design either.
Diablo 3: Hunting the Stone
-General:
Two new acts have been added to the game.
Act 5: Journey through the dense jungles of the Sharval Wilds, as you hunt the black soulstone that fell from the high heavens. Here the tribal town of Enfstieg will be your safe heaven against the mutated beasts that have begun to appear in the jungle.
Act 6: The final showdown against Adria takes place across the frozen wastes of Scosglen and the town of Tur Dulra. Unspeakable horrors await players as they near the black soulstones radiating energies.
New Class: The Paladin - this heavy armored warrior of light takes power from one-handed and shield equipment. With a number of abilities designed with having a shield equipped players will find exciting new uses for finding awesome shields in game. The paladin is a strength based class that fights with melee combat and area of effect spells.
New Artisan: The Mystic - This new craftsman allows players to use essences and other crafting materials to "Reforge" stats on existing magic and rare items. Don't like health globe granting extra health on this item? No worries change it to attack speed instead (with a modest fee of course.) Much like reforging in WoW this will not work as a one-to-one ratio and there will be a % reduction for changing a stat figure.
New challenge: Decent of the Endless - A new endless dungeon that ramps up in difficulty every ten levels you progress. Every ten levels will find players encountering an uber boss as well as a bump in difficulty. The dungeon will start as if a player was on inferno mp0, and then proceed to get harder and harder until players reach mp25. (mp25 is near impossible! How far can you get?)
New Level cap: With two new acts comes a level bump up to 70! Players will keep their paragon progress from before but paragon experience will freeze until players reach the new level cap and then resume if they are not already paragon 100. In addition to new abilities across every class, paragon's magic and gold find bonus will now cap at 350% instead of 300%.
New Items: An entire new tier of items up to ilvl 75 now drop in game. In addition we have added almost 100 brand new max level legendary items for players to find. Get ready to upgrade.
New Gems: All gems can now be upgraded another level past marquese, but like before they make any item they are slotted into bind on accound. In addition to that there is now a new gem color Blue! Blue gems grant Attack speed% in weapons up to 15%. In armor they provide All resist up to 75 per gem. And in helms they provide gold and health globe pick up radius up to 25 yards.
My money is on a druid as one of the expansion classes because they fit into the lore of using strength, and the niche' of a melee / ranged elemental caster.
I can also see a 'dark zealot', like an old school paladin that turned to necromancy so you've got minions, bone skills, heavy armor and shield proficiency.
Not exactly very welcoming responses to this new member...
There are at least 5 threads on the front page just like this one, that list off a litany of imagination fueled *wishes, just like this thread. It's getting old and I was having fun with him on that account. He may need thick skin here. It gets pretty wild at times.
My apologies to the OP if he was offended. Just sayin....god damn enough already with the wish list BS. Maybe, if someone has a great idea, make a thread and keep it focused on that one idea. But we've experienced an avalanche of full-on development tear-downs by junior developers and frankly, I'm becoming amused by it.
It's to a point where perhaps a pinned Development Ideas/X-pac ideas thread needs to be made. People can then relegate any more of these thread types directly in the pinned thread, freeing up our Gen Disc Front Page for a higher quality experience for our users .

I agree with what you said though, focus on less ideas and present them more concisely and open-minded to foster discussion, as I mentioned on a more hidden section on this forum.

I really didn't mean to be a jerk. Its just...if anyone has a great idea, it's going to get lost in the mix with these convoluted formats we're being presented with.
Actually I don't ever have any good ideas. So posting in the good idea thread is a waste of time. This was just my stupid thoughts on new features that could be awesome in my mind....but my mind is retarded so that isn't saying much.
