- Diablo 2 Median XL new engine mod coming January 2019
- Grim Dawn second expansion
- PoE 4.0 update designed to rival a potential D4
- Torchlight Frontiers
- Wolcen
- Pagan Online
Seems like 2019 will be massive for aRPGs despite no D4 release. Share what games are you excited about to try in 2019, even if these are not in the RPG genre.
Wolcen been in alpha/beta for five years still only have one act.
Pagan Online...sounds like a loot box game from looks of opening trailer. P2W probably
Where is the massive year?
while some of your statements might be true, that's a very pessimistic comment...
I still wish I could get into PoE. But I just can't. Gave it even a 3rd chance some days ago.
That D2 mod is promising. I will give that a shot.
It's funny how people mix up realism with pessimism.
Well, why talk about it if it's not even available in the West? Yes, I know you can jump through all these hoops to play it, but I cannot be bothered with that. Just like I refuse to play POE solely based on the fact that the developers make you jump through hoops to get a decent loot filter. No, I am not going to download a 3rd party whatever when that should be built right into the game UI.

They built an API for it which is far more customizable than just some select options. Different people filter out different things. If there was something they always wanted people to filter out or knew that most would just filter out, they'd just stop the items from dropping altogether. It's funny that you can't be bothered to play POE based on them making you jump through hoops, whereas Blizzard doesn't even bother jumping at all. Look at their league/seasons thus far. Minimal effort given per season.
I'm mostly a console player (PS4) so here it goes....
PC/Xbox - Grim Dawn. I can't state how awesome this game is. It's much better than PoE and feels more like a true Diablo game. Sucks it's coming to the Xbox and not the PS4, but maybe eventually
PS4 - PoE. Might aswell give it another try.
PC/Xbox/PS4 - Torchlight. I bought a 360 just for Torchlight.
Anyone know of any good PS4 games that fit into this genre?
EDIT: Destiny 1/2 are great loot hunter games. The first one really met the Diablo vibe, but sci-fi.
I added Grim Dawn to the list. It's sad this game does not have online servers though. I would also add Lost Ark if their team announces US/EU release.
I believe that's something they're working on with a hopeful 2019/2020 release.
If you have friends, it plays pretty good with multiplayer. I actually made 2 friends by just posting online stating that I'm starting new and fresh and want to experience this game blind after not playing in 2 years.

I just can't understand why some people try to ignore Lost Ark.
It's not that it's the best thing coming.....it's just freaking better than all those games TOGETHER.
Lost Ark is a piece of Art of a game. And it's not P2W. Just cosmetic benefits.
All hail the king, it's gonna be here for a looooong time.....
