once melee fans find out that the barb dies the easiest out of all 5 classes in inferno because he has the least survivability, a lot of favorites will switch to the monk

Monk has been my first choice from the start. A mix between pally and the elemental aspect of the druid which was my favorite class from d2. Health speed and strength. where could you go wrong.
once melee fans find out that the barb dies the easiest out of all 5 classes in inferno because he has the least survivability, a lot of favorites will switch to the monk
I think it's much more probable the other way around.
much more probable according to what information?
blizz has said the barb dies the easiest right now in inferno and looking at the skill calc the monk seems to have better defensive capabilties.
Oh and Monk First and Demon Hunter 2nd... that is at least the plan right now. But playing the PoE Beta made me think... that maybe a ranged class would be better.... :/ somehow in every aRPG the ranged classes seem to be way easier to handle in the endgame <_<
this.
people may have the most fun with a barb/monk but the 3 ranged classes will always win in farming capabilities, and being the most powerful is the most fun for me.

Well lets hope that Blizz puts more "mortar"-like Enchants in the game... the thing is that a ranged char always has the advantage of being able to avoid being hit by melee mobs/bosses... and even if mobs get close to you the ranged classes in almost every game have the best CC... so you get away from them rather easily <_<
ya exactly. like looking at the WD's summoning and CC capability, playing him is going to be stupid easy. having tons of meat shields, healing, never ending giant mana pool and crazy CC spells (zWall, confuse, horrify, GoTD, hex, SW) he will be my number 1 pick by far for being a lazy end-game farmer
Now I have no clue actually But I know for sure it's not WD, because it's the only class who does not have fast movement skill.
and the Wizard has what fast movement skill besides a long CD teleport?
You can use Wormhole with teleport, that way you can cast it without cooldown as long as you keep teleporting. It's still awesome, and not imbalanced like in D2. Now every class except WD got some kind of fast movement skill.
read it again buddy. it says it gives it a 1.2 second delay before the CD starts. meaning no global CD for 1.2 seconds. so however many times you can spam teleport in 1.2 seconds.... lol...
so again. what movement skill besides a long CD teleport?
Blizz has also said that the issue was corrected, and they added Nerves of Steel if you still have survival issues. So? Barb and Monk are just two different types of character, the skill calc can't contain all informations needed.
the only changes made were the nerves of steel as far as a "buff" defense. so your saying any barb who wants to survive in inferno NEEDS nerves of steel? lol....

No it says: "After casting Teleport there is a 1.2 second delay before the cooldown begins."
I imagine each time you cast teleport, the cooldown will reset. So as long as you keep teleporting you won't get a cooldown. Not sure 100%, because those skills are not really clearly written but I think it works this way.
yes exactly, so for a brief 1.2 second delay after casting it you can spam cast it during that time until the 16 second Cooldown starts... <_<
its insane how your not getting this....

Well I am not 100% certain. Why do you suppose that there is no 1.2 second delay after casting teleport 2nd time in a row? It says there is 1.2 second delay AFTER you cast teleport, it didn't say 1.2 second delay after you cast teleport first time.
blizzard said they didnt want to have everyone picking the wizard cuz of teleport like in D2, which is why they added a large CD to it. spamming it a couple times in a row makes sense, not infinitely spamming it. although now that boss runs are completely pointless, being able to spam teleport is pointless except for pvp. lol

Don't you see a big difference between D2's teleport and D3's teleport?
If it's true what I said then you can't stop teleporting because cooldown will start, which means you can only cast as long as you have arcane power. And there is no "mana potions" like in D2. So it's not like you can teleport infinitely. Just 100/15 times + arcane power regeneration. It's much weaker than in D2.
And it's not pointless in PvE. I don't even know what to say here, don't you use Leap, Vault, Dashing Strike?
teleport is a move to escape, for survivability. so you want a movement ability to escape harm, ergo better survivablity. and you said you wont choose the WD because of this.
let me introduce you to some of the best survivability skills in the game:
It CAN be used as escape ability, but it's not why I want fast movement ability. You can jump to the enemy, you can avoid obstacles and be much faster overall. Try to play barb without leap attack and then with leap attack. You will run through the beta much faster. I once played with friend DH who used Vault all the time and he was always far ahead of me. Those abilities are incredible useful and effective.
the wizard is extremely fragile and will especially be in inferno. so teleporting TO an enemy will never happen because you will end up insta dying, and how does escaping make you go faster? its all about how fast you kill, not how well you escape.
and you cant compare ANYTHING end game wise to the first 13 levels of the game. lol..

Where did I say this? I said you can avoid obstacles, that means stairs, rocks and other environmental stuff, which makes you much faster moving while not fighting.
so you think teleporting to 1-2 monsters and avoiding stairs n such will make you go through the game so much faster? sure it will increase it by not by some crazy margin. honestly thats a lame excuse for picking every class but the WD, if you just didnt like the class id say ok but really? "he cant teleport or dash so he sux" is basically what your saying lol... to each his own i guess.

Yes finally you understood what I am saying. I personally feel it's very important to have some sort of fast movement skill, but I guess it depends on personal playstyle.
i understood what you were saying, it just doesnt make much sense. lol

ah nice find. thanks for clerifying ^_^. but as i said before, teleport doesnt matter anymore for farming because your not trying to get anywhere specific. lol

Before I got into the beta, the Witch Doctor was my favorite. But after playing all of the classes up to level 13, without a sliver of doubt, the Monk is now my favorite (at least up to level 13).
Ranged weapons, Traps, Sneaky, Love it
Demon hunter for alt ofc ^^
was convincing the world he didn't exist.
DH will be my alt. ranged but not magic.
never liked magic casters
