There's no mention of Wirt in the flavor text for items either.
However there is something that might be related to the secret level...
Cow_Gem It seems to be active but its difficult to tell.
Cow_Water You could drink it, but you really don't want to.
Cow_Bone This charred piece of Leoric was clearly once connected to his ankle and knee.
StaffOfCow Only one bovine in all of Sanctuary could possibly have a use for this.
Leah, and yes she does - but that doesn't mean she's ACTUALLY dead. She might have been captured, or have been forced to flee and made everyone think she was dead so Leah didn't come after her... or any other number of possibilities.
you guys are mixing up characters. ADRIA is the witch from D1, ADRIAN is the warrior from D1. Adrian is dead (dark wanderer, obviously dead.) Adria should still be alive, theres a place in the beta that's called 'adrias hut'
Wirt's Leg has to return. How are we supposed to find the secret level if it doesn't?

The name of the Warrior from D1 (who was recently retconned to become who he is in D3) is Aidan, he was one of the sons of King Leoric. The guy who put the Diablo soulstone at his head in the end of D1, and became the Dark Wanderer in D2 (and also died in that same game).
Also, let's try to stay on topic guys. If it derails too much I'll be forced to close this.
I want one of those crawling torso zombies to be named Wirt The Legless, a unique mob, then when I crush his skull it'll be for good this time.
This, dear god this
^^ +1
I didn't even like bothering with Wirt in D2 unless I needed a leg for the Cow Level. Also, how many times do you have to kill the same thing? Personally, I wish I could convince my character to slow down a little bit and dismember and burn every demon he kills so they don't come back. It seems that nothing that gets killed stays dead for very long.

Well at least now you can get the satifaction of throwing them off a cliff

Or eating them, if that's your thing
