I'm pretty sure I've got my band sold on doing co-op. Everyone except our bassist, but nobody cares what the bassist is doing anyway.
Why does the bassist always seem to be the black sheep of the group? In the last two bands I have been in it always seems like they are the odd one out.
Because only a freak would rather play root/5th on a mutant guitar that only has 4 strings.

I have honestly never seen a point in playing single player (unless you have no internet connection), because I could always just make a private game and play alone, and then use the character i worked so hard with on my own to play with a group.
Maybe im just stupid but a while back I thought I heard someone say that you could use ur solo chars online. Or is it going to be like d2? idk maybe im just not paying enough attention.

@Upgradez I could've faceplanted on the keyboard and still killed everything in act 1.
I played solo about 77% of the time in D2. There was something I found so satisfying by getting through the game at my own pace by myself and keeping everything I found useful. I know in D3 everyone gets their own drops, but I still want to do things mostly by myself.
I was the kind of player that would play with others, only when they needed my help (I always offered free help) or if I needed to trade something. Sometimes I'd find someone who wanted to start a new character, but I'd only stick with them for the first act.
But for a community of gamers such as DiabloFans, it's going to be hard not to play with people that I see around the forums, and both enjoy the game that has led us all here. So, I suppose I'm due to change my ways, and start playing with the fellows that have waited and waited and waited for the next hack and slash masterpiece, such as myself.
I'll go through the game with a good friend at our own pace, or maybe solo first time. But then I imagine I'll only be playing coop. I'll explain... since this big social trend of gaming, of which I've only really been a part of the last 3yrs, I haven'r really enjoyed solo gaming. I'm not a kid like I used to be when D1 and D2 were out, I've got stuff to do now! I imagine I'll only be gaming 1-2hrs a day on average so 90% of it is going to be with friends.
Well solo sounds nice and all but I like to quickly try to be the best in a new game so I would solely put all effort in coop and get my decked out characters and gear and be golden. Then ill move to solo to enjoy the game without competition. :]
About 75% solo, 25% coop. Hardcore mode, I just hope the people I used to play with are going to play and that b.net has chat channels again so I can meet up with them... if it doesn't then I don't see myself playing long (just like I didn't play sc2 very long).

I don't always play hack and slash games, but when I do, I play Diablo. Keep slashing my friends.
I will play mostly with friends, but my second character will probably be solo for the lore, story and extras . My friends are already fighting over who will play the Monk (I'm going Demon Hunter all the way).

WHAT?! Solo is POINTLESS? I don't think so. Why do the heck do you say that?
I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
