little bit confused on how the makers are taking d3, will it be like d2 and have a list of games you are able to join or will they take a wow effect how its a whole world that everybody is in?
my thoughts are they said many times there trying not 2 re-use anything from d2,
then again if they take a wow style to the world what about difficulty modes? will there be different worlds to each difficulty?
i dont know if this has been discussed but i havnt seen anything on it?
mmm ok thanks, just needed 2 make sure i hope they buff it up a bit though and make it like max 12 - 15 per game, specially for dueling!
You have better chances to see the number of player go DOWN than UP. More player is -not- better. There will probably be something entirely different for PvP, though.
Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could

Dunno 4 players seems kinda small for a multiplayer game.
4 players is great limit for a party but for a game there should be some more at the same time.
As much as playing with 8 players looks fun at first, in the end all it is is people spammig way too much thing all over the place and with a select few not doing much work at all.
There was discussions about this at blizzard's forum already. I think 4 players is a bit too small, 6 would be nice and a lot agreed. 8 is too much.

No... use your head a bit. Its not just a question of numbers and nowhere in "multiplayer" does it says it needs more than 2 players simultaneously playing. The question is whatever works best. Having the right amount of players as maximum will have a huge impact on the game. If the max stays at 8 and its too spammy, then chances we will see this more than anything else, which is bad.
I'm pretty sure they've already said there will be a max player limit of 4, maybe 6? Not sure, but I remember it was less than D2's max player limit. I will look for quote.

I'm using my head but obviously you are not.
As I said party limit should be that 4-5 .. thats ok its not spammy!
But why can't there be 2 parties in the game at the same time..it would create a more active world to the multiplayer version.
Even in D2 I never do 8 player runs because its not fun.. I rather just solo in a game where 7 others do something in a party. But at least in the game there are those 7 others.
But duno I guess 4-8 could be ok.. at least 4-5 player limit for the party size.

Right, but again, this is not an MMO, there is absolutely no need for such pointless features in that kind of game.
The only similar thing I would agree with is the possibility of groups of people doing PvP together against other groups.
I think a blizzard employee said that it will be max 8 but partys max 4 but I could be mistaken
That sounds interesting and at first I actually liked the idea. Except... lets say there are 8 in the game, with 2 parties consisting of 4 each. The stronger players all merge into 1 party and the weaker into the other. If both these parties work on the same run/quest because of its difficulty and the more players there are, the better chances of completing it, then all the stronger players will be making all the kills and getting all the exp, leaving the weaker players to get squat.
This will create the problem of players always trying to get into the better party available in the game, and if they can't, they'll just leave and join another game to try again. This repetitive behaviour should be avoided.

But it all depends on how large gaming area we will get.
