Okay so, these have been the dates Blizzard has released something new (monster, location, class, lore):
In chronological order:
1st - 06.28.08
2nd -09.04.08
3rd - 09.18.08
4th - 10.02.08
5th - 10.10.08
6th - 02.26.09
Okay so from the 2nd release to the 1st, it was a difference of under 3 months.
From the 3rd release to the 2nd; 14 days.
From the 4th to the 3rd; under 1 month.
From the 5th to the 4th; 8 days.
From the 6th to the 5th; over 4 months.
These stats have brought a couple ideas to me:
1) The updates seemed to have followed a trend. Let me explain, there seemed to be an update every couple of months, then after that one another one would follow shortly; a week or so after. Then, this cycle would repeat. (Proof: under 3 months/14 days. Then 1 month/8 days.) So, is this a trend? Should we expect another update soon based on these results? (over 4 months/ xx days??)
2) Since many of the updates have taken a long time to be posted; (3 months, 1 month, 4 months) does this mean that Blizzard has nothing to post? or do they have a lot of material but just want to post it slowly to keep fans interested until the game is finalized and ready to be realeased?
Just a couple ideas, tell me what you guys think???
Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could
Well D3 is most likely going to be released in the summer of 2010..... maybe fall or winter but no earlier imo.
and Ora, you cant really pick out patterns with release dates because they are generally only released because of something that needs to be fixed, and no one can guess when something is going to be broken. (Get what I'm sayin'?)

Blizzard releases updates whenever the hell they want. Humans really like noticing patterns where there are none

actually, no. i really dont.
they arent updating something that's broken, they're posting new material, so i dont see how this has any relevance to something being broken?
No, I've seen way worse, lol. This isn't too terrible. I mean, the redeeming part of this is that we know the OP is a real Diablo fan if he's willing to undergo all the time it took to think that out

I got my reputation here by going off on people making up patterns. Please, don't make me do it again.
A huge lol @ that post.

Dude you really think Blizzard has a pattern they go off of to release new material? I dont really think they would do that. When they see fit to release new material they release it. I don't think they have a pattern though. Speculation leads to taking coincidences out of proportion leading to conspiracy. They just release things when they want too, they don't have a set pattern, at least that's my opinion.
