Just a curious note about the gameplay trailer. At the 10 minute mark, just after the wall crumbles down, the merc yells out:
"What in the hells is that?"
He pluralized the word hell... and even in the talk box above his head it is spelled "hells". So it was deliberate that he meant to use the plural form.
Could this suggest that there may be more than one Hell in the world of Diablo? How would that work? Perhaps he could be referring to something like Dante's 9 circles of hell? Or perhaps it was nothing more than the script writer trying to convery a sense of "peasent slang" from the mercenary? What do you think?

Oh get lost... it was just an observation, it's not like I wrote a thesis on the subject. I just thought this little tid-bit could generate some discussion.
There are two simple ways I could react when hearing the merc say that:
- literally
- figuratively
...and the most basic literal interpretation would be that the plural is used because there are multiple "hells". So I didn't have to look very far at all now did I?
who knows? we only got a little taste, there could be a whole lot more to this game than we even know. imo this is a pretty interesting discovery, could spark quite a discussion

that's exactly what its like, we only know about 1% of the game

There's undoubtedly different realms and territories of Hell. But you can't honestly imagine that a lone merc in that scene was used to reference something like that, can you? C'bon! C'bon.

True.. apparently after the events of D2, the world of Sanctuary does not remember much of what happened.. even after only 20 years. Apparently the whole demon infestation kinda happened off in the "periphery" and people just forgot about it.
But perhaps amongst warrior types in the land, like mercs, it is well known that there are multiple Hells... and each one is ruled by their own overloard. So a fact like that becomes part of their language seen in plural form...
It was a simple question, he asked my opinion and I gave it to him. His whole argument was based of a word being plural. Thats not reaching a bit?

Wait, first you ask my opinion and then tell me to get lost, please make up your mind. If you didn't want my opinion maybe you shouldn't have posted.
No offense, but it sounds like you're just being argumentative.

None taken, but how am/was I being argumentative?
He asked in a public forum what people thought about a word in a gameplay video being plural was about. Which in response was simple to answer in a none offensive way that I THOUGHT he was looking too far into it.
His follow up post to that was for me to get lost? And I am being argumentative?
Please explain.

It was a simple suggestion.

Why did this turn into a series of negative posts? I already solved it

You're right. This is probably the answer.
It's still interesting that the plural form is used, however. Perhaps to reference each of the "hells within Hell" that the Prime Evils occupy?

I'm pretty sure I want you to get lost.
Can't handle difference of opinions

No.. it's the tone of your posts.
Do not want. ><
I'd say less. All we know is that there is an evil coming after 20 years.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
