Does anyone else notice how massive the game is? Just look at the map . http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/world/worldmap.xml Any one know any of these and what we might expect from them? Lol I see lut gholen. What is Arreat Crater?
Thst is where the worldstone was. It's what happened when Tyrael destroyed the worldstone, it destroyed Mt Arreat in the process.

DiabloIII map
They expanded on the map quite a bit, but I really thought there was more. It nice we finally got a nanswer to what was to the right of Ureh.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
It looks to be where Mount Arreat was. If you remember, the Worldstone was destroyed at the end of Diablo II, so it likely made a huge impact and divided the land. If you look at the current map of Sanctuary and compare it to the one from Diablo III, you'll notice that the land has literally splintered, forming a river and islands from the remains of Harrogath and nearby areas.
It's also interesting to note that Blizzard has finally opened up the areas East of Kehjistan and North of Scosglen, so we finally know what lies beyond the edges of the current Sanctuary map.

But yeah I'm still surprised that the maps a little small but considering the chance of moving to different realms isn't out of the question right now for battle, i guess that opens up options a bit.
Also.. Amazon Islands changed to Skovos Ilses.
Is this confirmation that Amazons won't be making a show or just a name change and nothing more?
It's a bit too soon to tell.
Your post did make me notice that Amazon Islands seem to be missing one. Lycander is technically still shown, but the name isn't listed. I wonder if something happened to it (OMG island abduction), or if they just ran out of room to put the name.
Also, the island of Skartara to the West of the Amazon Islands seems to be new. I like this new Sanctuary already.
We had best be able to see all these places in game. I am growing tired of having cool places thrown in my face and not being able to go there.

Baal is in the Black Abyss with his brothers.
Finally someone that knows the lore!

I'd like to know what's left of the Barbarian tribes.. I got an idea from the journal entries on the Diablo III site.

I'm with you Elfen. I want to be able to visit the majority of the places listed!
