i can't express how much i wish they'd get him to do the music for d3...
the atmosphere through the music is an integral part of the diablo experience, and i don't think anyone does it better than matt uelmen. no other change in development would please me more than to hear that they'd reacquired his services.
the bolded part is seriously the truth. i worry about the music in d3 more than almost anything else.

they'll never see me coming.. life is a sequence of tragedies, inconsistent only by fleeting, elusive moments of pleasure,
serving only to ensure absolute vulnerability to the pain of their inevitable absence.
Jay Wilson have, under the advisement of his daughter, settled for a lighter and more immersive soundtrack. Bear in mind that this is just part of the soundtrack and most assuringly it's darker as you go deeper into the game. There's also blood and gore and explosions in the soundtrack as a substitute for grimdark. After all, who needs grimdark when you have blood with blood and a side order of blood?
LOL
That is the perfect soundtrack to D3. Very glad Jay's daughter has so much influence on the development!!

Though I would like to have Matt Uleman back to do the D3 music, just as long as the music is somewhat comparable I would be happy. I just hope they dont overlook the importance of music and make it an epic fail...

~ Some people are still alive only because it is illegal to kill them ~
wwwwooooooowwwww torchlight looks like a total D3 ripoff haha whatta joke!
The people who are making TorchLight, Runic Games, are the original employees of Blizzard North, the wonderful people who made Diablos 1 and 2. Watch yourself.

We should write a letter to Blizz and demand that they rehire Matt Uelmen. Or start a petition..
They didn't fire him. He quit. He doesn't like Blizzard Irvine, either.
so they should make him an offer he can't refuse ><

and formerly of Flagship, the people that brought you the con job that is Hellgate:London and spawned a new meme, Flagshipped (which baiscally mean you got screwed over)
as pointed out in another thread, flagship was actually divided into two teams. the people that work now on torchlight were the ones involved in mythos; they had very little to do with hellgate.
(and really hellgate could have been a great game, it was shaping up to be something great.. it was really just released a full year before it was ready.)

they tried to distance themselves from HGL but guess what?
the mythos team took as much money from the gamers as the HGL team.
the core members of Mythos were also founding members of Flagship.
i could go on all day about what they did and how they did it but they are not worth it.
every founding member of Flagship was just as culpable as Bill Roper.

Wow, wrong on just about everything. The Seattle team was brought on board 3.5 years after Flagship was founded in SF. The core of that team worked on 'Fate'.
Matt Uleman is not the only guy in the world .. who can do great music. and the guy who said the first acts of d2 were great he is right the rest of the game is meh I have the sound track and have listened to it many times it is good but not the be all end all. this is not Diablo2 it is a new game.you know what your guys/girls problem is ?Is you think this game is finished it is not it still has a full 2 years left in it development. so give blizzard a chance to create the game they know how to.
Seriouslly D2 and LoD music was freakin epic man that stuff made the game fel muchc darker than the axtuall graphics and settings did to me. i could play that game pitch black no sound fine but when the sound ws up it creeped me out in act 1 and 3. To me those were his bests and he was a master at that he made epic music throughout even though i didnt like as much it was still pretty damn epic. Mind yu i got scared cuz i was 8 XP

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
Torchlight looks like something fun to pass the time with while Diablo III is being worked on, if it's released before it.
The music in the trailer for it is pretty good.. damnit, Matt!
its scheduled for release this fall
they've got a booth at PAX in 8 days,
expect a lot of videos and interviews very soon afterwards, maybe even a release announcement
