Although to add what I have already stated. I have always looked foward to diversity in Diablo and loading the characters might be a good idea. Maybe not loading them into D3, but rather re-introduce them with new skills and looks. Having a total of 12 characters to choose from will bring longer gameplay (which is always a plus), more diversity in BN (which is a plus) and even more builds to choose from (plus, plus, plus). If you do load your d2 characters in d3, i will have a frown, but I will still be obligated to buy the game. ^^

The Fighters class idea isnt neccesarily bad, its just that they should probably find a different name for him.
Well, the game isn't out yet, so we can only hope.

I think the time-slow and all time controlling ablilities are just a name, it doesn't actually affect the speed of other players. Or perhaps those spells are global, meaning it it only affects monsters. That would make him an invaluable asset in PvE, but underpowered in PvP, since it wouldn't affect other players.
Personally though, I think the story is very fishy at best. I mean, you virtually beat the crap out of all demons 5 minutes ago, and now a new army just popped out of nowhere and lays siege to Harrogath?
Plus, ANY info that says Tyrael is corrupt I will blatantly refuse to acknowledge unless it comes straight from Blizzard, in which case I will tear my eyes out and cut off my left hand.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

it does seem a little like that. and Tyrael better not be corrupt, how lame would that be, too many people in Diablo get corrupt when the sequel rolls around wheres the originality?

monster tamer, sounds like the beast master class from DND, a class which cant use metal weapons, only wooden ones which includes bows

Chronomancer, Monster Tamer, Templar, Warlock, and the Fighter.
This is not the full class list, even if those 6 are true. If it were just these six, who would use a bow?
Hmmm... I count five. Regardless, the chronomancer idea sounds cool on paper but very hard to balance. There wont be a templar class, something very similar with a different name. Not templar though. Templar is one of the class names for Hellgate London. Monster tamer sounds cool and so does the Warlock. Fighter is boring. I'm thinking they rename him to Knight and give him sweet armor and shield skills. Basically make him into a tank. There has to be a purely spell casting class too. Possibly Magi or Wizard. I think all classes should me male/female too. I don't want to have to play as a girl to summon meteors. It's not fair.
Hey, just popping in to post my first reply. Have been lurking around for a long time.
I won't go into the credibility of Ryan's posts, but the Chronomancer doesn't sound all that troublesome to me. It's pretty easy to slow down 'the world' by speeding up yourself. So maybe a slowmotion spell would just be increasing your running and attacking speeds. Who knows. He could even turn out to be a theoretical physicist working with black holes and the relativity of time. Anyway, there'll probably be more than five or six classes to choose from.
As for the storyline posted by Ryan, I'm not sure. It sounds bit bland. Again there's some stone (how many unique, magical superstones are there in the world of Sanctuary anyway?) you need to retrieve and again it seems like you'll be finding some place in ruins, just like Tristram. Sure the entire series is about getting magical stuff (for yourself, or for other good guys) to help you in the battle against evil, and about the mortal plane being beseached by hellspawn, but it seems too much like Diablo 2 with different names for the same quests. I don't know.
Anyway, it's nice to read stuff that could be about Diablo 3.
I personally think that the chronomancer wouldn't be that hard to conjure up either. His slow time can be just like the necromancers decrepify. I do hope their is more characters then these five. The info about loading d2 characters is crap, but like I said earlier, if d3 reintroduce them into the game with new looks and skills, that would be cool. Just think, we get to see a female necromancer or a male assassin.

the story goes along with Tyreal being corrupted by the worldstone
