Could you please not do the "capitalize-every-beginning-letter-of-each-word" thing, please? Really annoys the eyes. Capitalization was made for a reason, not to be abused.
I think what you wanted to say is "pay to play", not just "pay". Obviously, if Diablo III is a normal game it will cost $50 which everyone will pay...

The real Diablo fanatic will go the extra mile for the game and the world. Being cheap and not paying for it means you didn't really like Diablo that much.
pay-to-play means the game is a MMO. If the game is a MMO it's not Diablo. Questions?
Note: I combined the three threads on Pay-to-play - they all got polls and the subject is exactly the same. Please don't copy these again.
It just doesnt make much sense that you pay for the game, but then you have to pay to play the game that you already bought. I'm a HUGE diablo fan, but being as im a 16 year old kid, i can't really afford this and there is no way in hell my parents will pay for it.
It's not that much but lets say you pay for five years. That adds up to $720. You then quit. What have you accomplished? I realized this myself after I quit games. They were pretty useless except for the fact that they got me interested in Computer Software and Digital Design.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
As I have stated before, if you start adding things up, they will always grow big. But on the normal scale, $15 a month is nothing. It will be totally unnoticeable on a serious salary, too. And it's your choice to pay or not to pay but anyone above 16 can pay.
I pretty much quit games and I don't see the difference. I'm just more bored.
Of course, if you voted no. Then you must not be a die hard diablo fan. Of course I totally agree with what Equinox stated bout how easy $15 can be to come by, but little bits here an there add up in the long run which is true too.
On the note of Bleeding_Ears. Monthly installments do provide a somewhat structured server setup ( pending on the developers decisions ). But it also allows ongoing content that you'd like to see. It's like.. when you pay for a magazine subscription. You're paying to get something new to read every month. If it were to be the same exact thing ( or something that isn't much different than the last issue ) all the darn time you'd be pretty pissed off, I know I would. Thus monthly payments help keep core developer teams at bay an ready to keep grinding out patches and the like to keep a smooth running environment with ongoing ingame content / updates.
( cause none of that is free, time = money an developers time is needed to make us happy I spose )
Well as Equinox said, P2P means MMO. And MMO Diablo will not be the same.
I don't really enjoy MMO's too much. Pay to play turns me off and I prefer different types of games. And since in Diablo I look for the gamestyle mostly, the gamestyle will most definately change if it becomes an MMO. So it will not be Diablo to me.
They'll most probably make it F2P, they wouldn't want to run the risk of making it P2P and losing some of the Diablo fans, whereas if they make it F2P they won't lose any But I'd probably still pay if it was.
They'd still have more money though.

I voted no mainly because I expect Diablo III to be too repetitive too. Which means not worth P2P. I'd rather enjoy a Diablo MMO way more then what Diablo II + 1 were like.

i <3 you
i agree with whoever said the bit about the monthly magazine subscription. blizzard would have a lot more incentive to keep adding things to the game if they have a community spending money on the game, unlike diablo 2.
You are 16, you can get a job, pretty much any job will be enough to pay off a pay-to-play game. For me it was always more of an ethnical question.
Dude, I would have a job if i could... I go to the hardest school in the Southeast, and im not the smartest guy... I work my ass off at it and i still have wrestling or soccer, and when i don't have those practices im working out. Im going to get a job during the summer, but you gotta have money to go out with friends/dates/movies/and alcohol of course.
i voted yes but wouldnt aprove of it. like someother people have stated it will only happen if its an mmo. and i think they would never do that to diablo. becasue if they do then it would probably mean "auto attack". by that i mean you click on enemy once and it will keep fighting it even if you dont do anything. you could click one an enemy go to the bathroom and come back and would probablly still fight. thats one thing i have always liked about diablo is that you have to hold the button down to keep attacking.

i'm sure if they make diablo an MMO, you will have to keep clicking... thats just my personal opinion
well the only real close mmo i have played was guild wars. i liked how when you go to a city it was like a chat room in diablo you could go into diablo-1 or diablo-20 it was like that with the cities. and when you got out of the city you could party up with people and just play with those people. but what i didnt like was the fighting. i havent played that game in like 3 months. so i hope diablo has its normal fighting style.
i'm sure if they make diablo an MMO, you will have to keep clicking... thats just my personal opinion
And the general opinion is that clicking is very hard on bad-ping people, which are a big chunk of MMO players. If a MMO will be made it wouldn't have clicking unless Blizzard has some strange plan but I doubt it.

Then again, they made Warcraft, an RTS, into an MMO, and it rocked, so if anyone can make Diablo a worthy P2P game, it's Blizz.
(Of course...they also tried making a single player Warcraft RPG...and failed miserably...so anything's possible...)
