Ok I am fairly new to Diablo 3, and I am playing on PS4, but I could use some assistance regarding what I call the auto teleport feature...is there way to turn this darned thing off?
I play a wizard, and my wife plays the Crusader, where I like to remain in the distance, she gets right up there....but it is very annoying when the game (not the creatures) auto teleports me to her side right in the middle of all hell breaking loose...or when I use my teleport and it yanks her out of the mobs.
Thanks but what I am talking about is not a monster issue, but when you get too far away from another player in your group issue...it yanks you to them...or is this only in the PS4 version and not the PC version??
There are two affixes that can yank you to monsters, that is vortex and those worm holes.
There is one affix that can push her away from the mobs, that is knock back.
They only happen with elite monsters. You gotta check what affixes they have and plan your fight accordingly. Hope this helps.
They're playing two people on one console, so the game is keeping them on the same screen. Only fix is to get another console and a new TV.. which is quite the pricey fix.
Blizzard could implement split screen. on a decent sized tv, which is fairly cheap now days. You could easily get 2 different screens on one tv. Covering as much as we see on pc
DraconisOrion, as far as I know, there is no way to turn that setting off. This is made because the game does not split the screen when on multiplayer on the same console, but instead consolidates all players in the same screen. So if one player moves too far away from the other, the second player is forced to teleport to the first player, so that the camera can accompany the two players at the same time. As some people mentioned above, the only solution would be to have another console and another tv, this way you would be playing online coop instead of local coop. In online coop, players get their own screen and can move away from each other freely. Hope that helps!
Yeah I realized that was the reason, we just make it work, now...got my full set if Firebirds finally, and last night running rifts, I just got a Mirror Ball...hmmm, now decisions for the off-hand.
That system was made to keep both players visible enough for each other in the same screen, and there is no way you can turn it off.

You would think that would be a solution. It is actually not.
Consuming 50% (or more depending on double UI space) means way less information for players to use. You can get hit and not know from where. Also split screens means the game has to potentially render way more models and effects than normal. On console that means you are forced to either low FPS or lower graphical quality.
Sudden "auto-teleporting" is not always ideal, but it is a pretty good solution.

Someone please help!!
I am taking by no replies that there is no way of turning this off. Sigh...I guess I can expect a few more deaths.

No worries, I figured it may be something to the affect. It could have been worse.
