Personally I think there should have been some sort or achievement or feat of strength for P100 at the very least. I don't think it really needs to be something that give the player an additional advantage. Perhaps an achievement every 10 paragon levels unlocking different cosmetic features for your banner or on the character. This would allow players who have reached paragon 100 to further show off their accomplishment instead of just the paragon 100 player icon in the top left. Players who play many characters wouldn't feel punished that they don't have a paragon 100. The mf/gf bonuses are bad enough for those who don't like leveling only 1 character. The achievements every 10 levels would also provide more motivation for grinding paragon level on top of the mf/gf bonuses.
On a side note while I'm not one who really cares about achievements that much, or grind them out I think the game is lacking in the achievements system. There are hardly any achievements for playing Hardcore and other areas where it seems there should be. I also remember them talking about having about having HC achievements improve the look of the base of your banner (pre-release), but there's nothing in the game that does such a thing. Not sure why they axed the idea of improving the base of your banner. Here's an image of what I'm taking about
Anyway just my two cents, based on this thread some people may feel similar. The last bit might be kinda off-topic but it seems somewhat relevant to me.
Why would anybody want more for getting to Paragon 100? Sorry but this all leads me back to the entitlement attitude of the gamers today. It's not enough that they give you a huge bonus to your MF and that you are now buffed over 300 more points to your main stat and 200 towards vitality but now we want MORE!!! SOrry, I just can't figure out why it always has to come to a discussion about wanting more when in the end, if you look at what they give you already is a huge advantage.
We want dem bannerz customization optionz, dud!!!!
Any aesthetic bonus would probably suffice. But then again if they gave something like that, you'd obviously have people complaining that "yo actiblizz we don't want cosmetics, we're hardcore gamerz and want 500+ to all stats or free legendaries".

What Blizzard said at the time was that you spend most of your time zoomed out while playing, and the skulls at the base and banner embellishments were hard to make out and didn't look good from that distance.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification. I still think it was a cool feature, too bad they couldn't make it work

To be honest they could just drop the base of the banner when you're out in the fields. The huge cosmetic stuff can stay on the login screen/around the waypoint. Do it Blizz.
Just thought I'd start a topic to see what you guys think would be a cool bonus for reaching PL 100. (other than what is given already of course)
I personally would like to see an extra active and passive skill unlocked... I think this could be game changing.
Being a WW barb I think being able to Leap or use Rend would make for some fun...heck maybe even having call of the ancients along with my current build could be sweet!!!
I thought being Paragon 100 already carried bonuses?
This thread is just more proof that the "entitled" people will constantly want "MORE".

I tend to agree. Personally, I would do something like this (only on the login screen and in town, not in the fields):
Banner Size: Increases based on Paragon Level, possibly cumulative across characters up to some maximum
Skulls at the base: Increases based on PvP achievements
Major embellishments like a flag on top, two smaller banners at the sides, etc.: Hardcore achievements

I really hate it when people throw "entitled" around.... I mean what more do I have to do... over 2000hrs invested in this game, im sorry if it has gotten a little boring.... But who cares what i think , im apparently not "entitled" to an opinion right ? BHahAahhh
For those complaining about people wanting more all the time, I'm usually one of you, but for once I'm not agreeing.
Paragon 100 is one hell of a long grind away. even with the most efficient build and extremely good gear, it's going to take many, many hours of killing monsters to achieve. If you're not a gamer that has 18 hours a day to spend playing, or doesn't have the luck/real money/desire to get high level gear to play higher MPs, or just fancies playing all 5 characters rather than constantly using one - the lofty heights of Paragon 100 are still a way off and something to look forward to. Not to mention something to show off and brag about once you've achieved it.
If the bonus was awarded every 10/20/25 paragon levels, or just a flat out reward at 100, it might feel more impressive. At the moment, a bonus that stacks by 3% doesn't feel that much worth pushing up every time. If I had something more at 100, even though it's only cosmetic that I'm after, then I might feel the desire to face more levels and maybe finally get past 70 on my main at last.
The big problem is that I don't think paragon levels were meant to be pursued, but just something to make you feel like you got a little stronger every time you play and a way to "fix" magic find (remember that they changed the cap to 300% at the same time). However, when you attach fairly large bonuses (especially MF) to maxing it out, of course people are going to feel like they have to max it in order to be successful, and they're not far wrong. Instead of giving you an extra sense of accomplishment even if you didn't find an item today, it's just another grind which feels mandatory. And since the time investment is so backloaded toward the highest levels, it's understandable that people want a little something extra for getting all the way there.
This is something they really ought to have seen coming imho. This is pretty much off the table now I think, but the way to resolve it would have been to give much smaller bonuses, particularly to magic find. If all you got for 100 paragon was some cosmetic stuff and like +100 to your main damage stat and +50 to magic find and the other stats, it would feel way less mandatory. Of course, then they'd have had to deal with MF some other way, but they're stuck in that position now anyway.

Just a thought, what if when you reach PL100 your flag could serve as where you spawn after death or if in multiplayer other players would teleport in the game to it instead of your physical location.... I hate it sometimes when you die in a dungeon near "level 2" and you have to run all the way back... instead just drop your flag where ever and u spawn there.

I'm playing 2 hours a day at max and I'm almost level 80. What 18 hours are you talking about ?
You are surely doing something wrong.

Personally for me I dont need anything extra. The satisfaction of reaching P100 is enough for me. Seeing that P100 pop up on the screen is more than enough reward not to mention the enjoyment of doing it. My personal goal is tp Paragon all characters to P100. Once that is done Ill prolly move on to something else. Ill have gotten plenty of entertainment out of this game if I can achieve that.

At level 75 you are only 50% there
Awesome math. BRB, gonna play 18 hours a day.
Not sure of your point. Not only was I allowing for sleep, but I was referencing a number I've seen many hardcore gamers allege to spend playing per day when grinding such things. Whether true or not, it's not my place to say.
If you're being sarcastic.... His math is actually pretty much correct. In total you need 10,454,400,000 experience from paragon 0 to 100, at paragon level 75 you have 4,741,200,000 experience. That's 45.3% of the way to paragon 100 in terms of total experience. Level 78 is pretty much half way at 49.8% experience. Here's a pie chart that displays this, who doesn't like pies
Also if one were to play 3 hours a day, farming a decent rate of 50mil/hour it would take them roughly 70 days to hit paragon 100. Having a paragon 100 myself 18 hours a day is way overkill.
Edit: sorry didn't see other posts that got posted while I was replying. Oh well more information I guess.
Paragon levels should have been account based, not character based. There is such a MASSIVE difference between my p83 guy and my other 5 various teens that it really sucks knowing that I'm "wasting" my time with other classes...leveling them up only for "fun" but not getting anything out of it from a progression standpoint. It takes the "Fun" experience and makes it a little less fun.

yes, i guess it is much like in d2 where you had to make a sorc or a hammerdin specifically for MF to efficiently farm.... not sure what the fix would be in this case.... If you were to make it account based it'd probably open up to a whole new set of problems.
