It's not killing Diablo in Hardcore Hell that impresses me. It is you guys being able to get pass all those elite mobs without death in Hardcore Hell that impresses the shit out of me! Praise you!
this, the reason why the kill impresses me and also why I'm never touching the hardcore button [never touched it in D2 either]
Can't believe blizzard made such a let down with difficulties. I've died just once doing normal and nightmare. It is so much easier for me than D2 was 10 years ago. Maybe it is just because of the age difference.
Why are the people complaning almost exclusively softcore players or people who are not even on hell/inferno hardcore mode?
and this too, I never understood the 'D3 is so EZ compared to D2' comparison because D2 isn't that 'hard' to begin with. I was one of those people who played mindlessly [I put points in energy, and wasn't going for energy shield. need I explain more?] didn't have good gear nor any gaming skills and was still able to clear through hell, albeit with some difficulties on the way.
Currently going through act 1 inferno and I must say that the game is in no way any easier and at the same time has more interesting mechanics.

please post videos of you soloing inferno before making such comments. Once you can successfully then your comment is valid. You haven't even gotten to hell and are judging the difficulty of the game.
Other than that, congrats on the achievement for the people in the video

first, there are plenty of videos of wizards cheesing inferno solo with a broken build, so that wouldnt even be impressive if he did
Secondly, I've also died a grand total of once before hell mode. Regardless of how difficult the game is going to get, I think it could have been much more difficult much earlier. Theres no reason I should have to play through it all TWICE to get to a point where I can die.

very good point of having to play through twice before any difficulty. Cant argue there, i agree and am in the same boat... but some of these people complaining and not even playing inferno doesnt make sense to me. That's all i am trying to say

Soloing inferno is more annoying and unfun then just hard. Doesn't actually take much skill to kite every single rarepack halfway across the world but it is god damn boring to do so. I like to at least see the mobs I'm fighting on my screen.
And this is coming from someone that had Skeleton King inferno 4 days ago. Leveling all other classes to 60 ATM and moving through inferno once it actually becomes a bit fun.

good luck on kiting out of screen in later acts, especially closed areas
edit : forgot to add, I take it that you found the difficulty of D2 to be 'fun'?
Great job guys! How come you guys hardly take any damage? I remember on Hell if I got caught in his cage or the swirling fire aoe I am pretty much instagibbed. Here you guys are barely trying to avoid it, getting caught, and hardly losing any hp. Is it just gear or what? I could use some protips for Inferno because now I'm getting raped even harder. One mistake and I'm dead! Help! Haha.

You must be kidding What difficulty you are in atm? Because if you are not even in hell then you have not right to say anything about difficulty. Normal is easy mode for a reason, if you want challenge go in hell and inferno.
To be fair, Hell is what Nightmare should've been. Hell was extremely easy for me alone or with friends. I haven't stepped in Inferno yet because of my lack of time, but I expect it to be challenging. I have enjoyed the game a great deal so far, even if I find it too easy.

I disagree. The step up from Normal - which is a cake walk - into Hell would have thrown a lot of people off - particularly people new to the genre. They could have made Normal ramp up in difficulty more for sure and made Nightmare harder, though the way it is now I think every difficulty serves it's purpose.
And if you think Hell is extremely easy and Inferno not much of a challenge, then more power to you.

I came here to say that i have a huge respect for what you guys have done. I'm playing soft so far on inferno and from everything i've seen on the way: hell diablo on hardcore is impressive. REALLY impressive.
Is anyone else as amazed as I am at how little damage their characters seem to take? I don't think any of them, besides the Barb once, goes below 50% life.

How is that even possible?
Its is because of "protection of boon" rune from the healing mantra. Every time i use the skill we absorb 15% of max life and regenrate 3-4k hp over a few seconds. Using that like every 4th second.
yeah, that's great and all, but what i want to see, is them fighting: waller vortex plague/molten , or invulnerable minions bees(the ones that spit out poison little bees) and other killer packs that wipe you out, where the boss is no problem. how can a pack of elites that i HAVE to kill to progress be 10 times stronger then a boss? i can see if they were in a side dungeon or off the side on a map, but when they are right there, get's frustrating. dont get me wrong, i love the difficulty of it. it is def easier then D2....idk,,, i'm just scared to solo hardcore past nightmare without a monk healing me every 4 sec like worldfirst.

Like others, I'm more impressed with getting to Diablo on Hell rather than the Diablo kill itself, but still an impressive feat.
(This coming from another HC player).
