Any US person who is sooking cos they have to wait until 3am is kidding themselves, feel free to move to Australia or New Zealand and pay twice the price for the exact same game and wait until 5pm or 7 pm for it.
i wish they would just stagger it so everyone can have a midnight release. theres not much point in them hyping up midnight releases and then half of us cant go pick it up til 3am = / they should have at least put est and australia with eu release times imo.
Someone clarify, the game is NOT region locked so I live in Australia, and 12 CEST equates to 8am 15th AEST. I can go to my shop and buy a RETAIL copy of the game in the morning of MY 15th install the game attaching it to MY SEA account and still log onto the euorpe servers right?
Its only the digital copies from AEST that can't play until the US midnight launch?
Basically Australians can get retail copies of the game the same time the EU servers go live, can we use this copies of the game to play on EU servers, or will our SEA battle net accounts still keep us locked out.

Yea, your Battle.net accout will lock you out until the US launch. : p
I am happy I can play it on the 14th at 11pm, But I was sort of hoping it would be global 12:01am USA time release so I could wake up at 8am GMT and start playing fresh!
I live in Europe but I feel bad for Australia and New Zealand. They live on the edge of the world, but it doesn't mean they don't deserve a midnight launch.
The only thing I'm not looking forward to now is not salivating on the forums with everyone else 9 hours before I can play D= (because I don't want to see screenies of all the spoilers)
Same here. I won't be getting on any websites after the other servers go live.
I'll be playing at 4am ADT here in Canada. Will give me time to sleep through most of the night, get up, have some breakfast before hitting the go-live time at 12am PDT. I'm not all caught up in the "Europe gets to play it first" nonsense - As long as I get to play when it goes live in my timezone, that's all that matters.

4:30am for me, Newfoundland time. I'm worried I am going to be temped to read a lot of spoilers since EU gets it 9 hours before.
9 hours, uh? I guess I'll be going to sleep when the servers go live for Europe (need my 8 hour sleep for when the servers go live here to survive the marathon ;)).

Not sure about too may spoilers happening people will just be playing rather than posting.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
The only thing that annoys me about the release date is that its smacked down in the middle of the week.Who came up with that stupid idea?
For the same reason they're opening servers at a not so convenient time. Blizzard doesn't want like half the planet hammering their login servers at the same time.

Probably helps it during an actual work week... yah know when Blizzard is at work. If there are any issues be more likely to fix compared to a Sunday.
EDIT: I can't think of any Blizzard release that was on a weekend for quite awhile.

Fine by me.
Not really, Zero! You'll be here doing moderator duties while we EU mods are playing! We'll start working after your release (9 hours should be enough for starters)!

That doesn't really make any sense. There servers should be build to hold a larger number of players that they predict the final sales before the release date will be.
If thats not the case,im kinda disappointed since the game costs a lot of money. The very least they can do is give us viable servers.
Holding let's say (pulling number out of my ass) 100'000 players on a server is one thing, having 100'000 players hammering the login server at the SAME time is another thing.
So I have a question: If normally I would play on the US servers (because I live closest to those), can I play on the EU servers on the 15th to start playing early 6 hours earlier??
AFAIK, no. You have to wait for your specific US client to unlock at the same time as everyone else's in the US (12:01). If you buy the EU client then yea no matter where you live you could connect at the 00:01 CEST, but since you have the US client you have to wait until either 12:01 or 3:01 depending on where in US you are.
For release it seems to be origin of the account that blocks you, but after release...
There are no separate clients. There is ONE CLIENT. It is a REGION FREE client. There is NOTHING stopping someone from buying the game in Russia and playing on a US server or buying the game in Mexico and playing on an EU server.
The only thing is that you cannot transfer a character from one region to another. You can create characters on any region you want, but once a character is made on a particular region, he stays there.
No we get it at 5pm on the 15th.

You'll throw up if you eat too early? I'm jealous, no matter what time I wake up my stomach is always grumbling
