4-Piece Sets to Become 6-Piece
John Yang hinted at a general direction where 4 piece sets might be headed in the near future - the developers want all 4 piece sets (Might of the Earth, Vyr's Amazing Arcana and The Shadow's Mantle) to be competitive end-game sets.

Minor Patch for PTR
A minor patch was deployed today on the PTR to improve some performance issues, and it seems some players are already reporting a much improved scenario. It was followed by some minor downtime that should be over by now. Read below.

The PTR should be available for play once more. Happy testing!

A minor patch has been deployed to the PTR to address performance issues that some of you may have been experiencing.
In the past, we would typically delay such minor patches and instead package them together with other pending changes. However, as a result of our conversion to the new CASC file type, we're able to more quickly push smaller, surgical patches to address specific critical performance issues like this. Please note that, unlike typical patches, this one will be much smaller and does not contain content changes, such as tweaks or adjustments to classes and sets. The patch notes have not been updated as a result.
The PTR will enter a short maintenance as a result of this patch. We don't have an ETA to provide at this time for when it will be available, but keep an eye on this post and we'll let you know once this maintenance has been completed.
We will be having additional patches later in the PTR cycle, and we'll keep you informed as those draw closer. Thank you, as always, for your diligence in reporting these issues and your active participation in our 2.2.0 PTR!
Gem Farming Trick
So you're missing gems to enchant Jewelry and boost your alternate seasonal characters? MeatHeadMikhail has uploaded a video explaining and showcasing a simple trick that, while obvious to veterans, is probably new and useful to others. It pairs a Broken Crown and clever use of a specific Goblin's mechanics to maximum effect. Check it out!
ADD gems auto pick-up and all good, you will have tons of gems in no time and you dont lose insane amount of time by clicking again and again to pick up
How about the thorns set ? and the demon set ? Are they being reworked too ?
Indeed.... while you will only get a few extra blood shards (as they drop 1 by 1) and there's no bonus from an item effect, it's still a cool trick to use with it.
I'm not 100% sure on this, so don't quote me, but I think I've heard people saying in the PTR when you pickup 1 Gem or 1 specific crafting material the rest around it (an area) will be auto-picked up. If there are 30 stacks of Veiled Crystals, when you pick 1, all others are picked too.
Again, not positive on this as I haven't tested myself, but certainly a huge quality of life if it's true
Hmm, not sure then if there's an option or if people reporting this function on reddit were just trolling. Either way, it's definitely something that would be great to have =D
It works on the PTR. Nothing to click, no setting to change. Pick up one veiled crystal, get all of them around it too.
Why do we keep adding more items to sets? It just takes away options to have other interesting legendaries. What's the point in making all these cool affixes if people are gonna be forced to use sets anyways to be competitive? 4 pieces should be the max. 6 is far too many.
People actually run out of gems and have to farm for them? Holy. After a few days, I have a couple hundred Marquis of each and start to leave them on the ground unless they're Imperials.
No! Goddamn it, we don't want MORE six-piece sets! There are already too many ultra-powerful six-piece sets that stifle creativity in the game. Make more unique single legendary items!
Set bonuses should form the foundation of a build. They shouldn't be the entire build themselves.
Note, as mentioned in the video + description: at the start of a season. It takes 3 (marquise) x 3 (imperial) x 3 (flawless imperial) x 3 (royal) x 6 (flawless royal) = 486 marquise emeralds to socket 5x armor slots + 1x weapon slot. That takes quite a while to acquire. I JUST finished this myself and am ~60 hours into S2.
Currently on the PTR, picking up 1 gem type picks up all gems for that type. Like, if you pick up an imperial diamond, you'll pick up ALL imperial diamonds on the screen. It's not auto pick up, but it's much, much better than it was.
I agree. I liked being able to mix and match sets. Like my Wizard could wear both Tal Rasha's and Firebirds and attain all the set bonuses of both sets. With the new changes in sets...that's becoming less and less likely to do.
I am against increasing the 4 piece sets to 6. I am also against increasing 6p to 7p. It just dilutes the flavor of a set and bars out specificity in builds.
