Forced leveling? I'll just have to go along with what other people think that means. If forced leveling means a requirement to move through the game, such as "level 10 is required to move to Act II" etc. then no, there are no current plans to put level requirements on progressing through the game.
As far as I'm aware it's hasn't been mentioned by a Blizzard employee as being potentially included in Diablo III, but I could very well be mistaken.
So this level requirement business is usually discussed as a solution to 'glitch rushing' or a way of quickly leveling a character through use of bugs and loopholes. The assumption that these bugs and loopholes will exist in Diablo III in the first place is somewhat of a stretch of logic (maybe not as much as I'd like ;). So, the most obvious and popular solution is a level requirement. And yeah, it could work, but unless you can normalize XP gains you're probably fairly often going to be simply holding people back for no good reason. They've completed the act legitimately, but they're a single level shy of the requirement. Now they have to go grind for no reason other than to level so they can continue playing the game. It's not a very graceful solution. No, but there are solutions... nay, improvements! in how progression through the game can be handled. Ones that offer not only regulations on progression, but enhance the game itself.
they should make the non boss monsters give a little more exp
and change the monster orders on nightmare and hell =3
so when you play on nightmare and hell
your not fighting the same things in the same order as you did in normal
and on hell they should make a ton of versions of different monsters at different lvls
and randomize between almost every monster in the game in every area =3
fun fun fun ^.^ XD
i know i never did mephisto runs for exp or even diablo runs for exp
i only did those for equipment =3
I hated the wowversion where you felt like getting to the max level was a big hurdle and wasn't the point of the game anyway as the endgame stuff was much cooler and worthwhile.
I hope they make the leveling up the point of the game.
I know it was alot more prevalent when they first introduced it as I fought him once a week, that turned to once a month then it never happened.
Not sure if that was everyones experience but I loved the randomness of uberdiablo (how he spawned anywhere) and how you needed the assistance of atleast three level 90's of high gear to down the sucka.
I loved getting called to help w/ uber diablo, gave me a reason to slap on my talrashas (off with the MF gear!) and go break some face.
I miss those days.
Level 90's have nothing to do like you said but farm and rush and that can have adverse effects on the funness of the game (game to easy from all the runners, gear to accessible because of everyone farming it).
Level 90's should have a different area to play around in but that shouldn't be just for shits and giggles, the area should give incentive for 90's to play it by adding a title to the character somehow (long term) or gain points to exchange for extremely high level loot or maybe even a rare ability?
There needs to be reason to play it, but not so much that it becomes the only reason to play Diablo 3 (the level grind is a speed bump format should be avoided).
Its a really tricky balancing act.

Port back in and you have a easy peasy baal kill.
You would have to have some serious safeguards to attempt that me thinks.

the highest legit lvl in D1 was 50 ^.^
although i think they should make 100 lvls for those who like perfect numbers xD for D3

they could patch special quests in for the high lvls

later they could make another act little by little patch by patch

whether it has lore or not doesnt matter it just needs to exist to have something to do lol
i mean once i beat the game on hell diff i would just try another class myself
but they gotta do something to encourage high lvl players to play XD

Thats what most of the threads I make are about. Everyone argues that they want these things available at early levels, because they are fun..
but then the only reason people will try to get to level 100 will be to get a highest level..
