This is a translation from german submited by Calyx and ov3erlord:
Their new article offers what can be interpreted as hints: One is a link to a YouTube video showing a real life soccer game. The YouTube video is titled: Ring of Fire. The second clue is an image of Wolfgang Petry (a German singer). To non-German folks this means really ... NADA (nothing).PC Action: For long time the rumor kitchen has simmered. There have been indications again and again, that in the next weeks or months, the successor to the brillant diablo 2 should be announced. Several Internet portals, such as Diablofans.com and n4g.com, report over alleged references to a Diablo 3-announcement at a Gaming site by the name of pcactio..., oh, f*ck! Those are we!
But something is missing here...
So they say, that the 11x11 Pixel Picture from yesterday would be an impression from the Diablo-Follow-Up. The Problem : We are not allowed to say something about it. Not deny, nor say that the rumors are true, or even say anything. Hmm, how many more days are there to our next issue?
What do you think? what can it be? -- View the Source.
Our DiabloFans.com folks however started connecting the puzzle pieces -- that is kinda a stretch about a stretch, but here we go:
According to niceguyeddie the soccer game video titled Ring of Fire, might refer to Diablo's ring of fire when you fight him. (Watch the YouTube video referenced by PC Action)
According to Gromir, on the other hand, the Wolfgang Petry image refers to a karaoke song which lyrics say: ""Wahn - sinn. Warum schickst du mich in die ..." The second part to the lyric which is not included in the image is: " HÖLLE HÖLLE HÖLLE!"
In English: "Insa - nity. Why do you sent me to... HELL, HELL, HELL!"

As reported this morning on the previous news, PC Action replied my email:
The bad news? The next PC Action issue comes out on June 19 (according to Gromir). It is hard to think they would talk about Diablo 3, before the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals (June 29) ... and that is IF there is going to really be a game announcement ... and IF it is a Diablo game.PC Action: Unfortunately we are not allowed to talk about any details at the moment concerning this game
-- Lukasz Ciszewski
Ahh ... don't we hate and love and HATE teasers? Damn you, PC Action!
Note: Take in mind, PC Action might be teasing and messing (kidding) with Diablo fans, and that the game they refer to might be something entirely different from another company. Just a possibility.
UPDATE June 6: PC Action added a new small image showing fire. The image file is titled pic_d3_2.jpg --- These guys really want the teasing ball rolling. Either this game is Doom 4, Diablo 3, or a Hellgate: London expansion. There are other games recently announced such as Duke Nukem Forever (PC Action is currently showing screenshots of that game on another article today).

"we are in touch with the Starcraft fan base but have nothing to announce at this time."
Then announce it. LOL, they were full of shit.
That's totally Blizz! They deny everything.. then go.. hey look at this everybody! It's how they've been with every single game they've released and it doesn't look like they will change anytime soon
Because the owner of this website is loving the traffic while all us patient fans keep "checking the news section" =P
The traffic right now is absolutely normal- usual guest traffic at night (according to where I am) is a little over a hundred, and during the daytime almost or a little over two hundred. That's been the norm for a while, before the whole site-takeover thing.
This is just an example. Please, don't jump to conclusions toward Mockery without knowing what's going on backstage. Saying he is sitting back to see the traffic is very rude with lack of facts to support that.
Communicating with Blizzard nowadays is difficult as they are preparing for the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals which is almost upon them. And on top of that they also have other work to do.
Let's take a look about Blizzplanet's upcoming interviews and how long it takes to communicate back and forth until the end goal:
Interview with Epic Weapons was made a week before the Auction ended. It is been almost two months. Last I heard it is on queue to be posted on the official Wow site news.
Interview with Luke Johnson concerning World of Warcraft RPG: Dark Factions. That one was handed to Blizzard PR a bit over a month ago.
Interview Part One with Aaron Rosenberg and Christie Golden (World of Warcraft: Beyond the Dark Portal) -- it was submited two weeks ago. I can't post any of these three interviews on Blizzplanet, until I get the ok from Blizzard to do so. And usually when they post it on the Official WoW website.
Imagine if people were pushing me to release the interview before Blizzard PR gets to read through it and approves it.
This is the process in which Blizzplanet interviews have been done since October 2007. So I am used to weeks or months of back and forth communication with Blizzard. Things take time. And they are ready, when they are ready. And because things take time, it is best not to say estimated dates -- because you can't always meet a date due to outside circumstances not forseen.
In short, let things move at their own pace. Eventually, when Mockery is ready, he will make the announcement. And it will be in less than a month. Be patient.
Yeah dude don't be rude things are getting done, just have to wait.
Yes, this is totally a Blizzard thing to say.. actually it reminds me of:
“We definitely appreciate that the community has a lot of interest in seeing the Diablo series continue, and we certainly share that desire,”
...
“For now, though, our focus remains on StarCraft II and Wrath of the Lich King. I’m afraid I don’t have any new plans to announce at this time.”

HMM?!
Also, I do wonder if there are plans for an announcement then why haven't we been told so? I do believe they gave notice of an annnouncement before SC2 was actually announced.
I think that quote there was equivalent to the announcement made before the WWI. But I agree with you.
What do you do? Have lunch? Talk on the phone? Ring them up and "Hey, whats up?"
However, don't think I know uber secrets. They have NDAs and contracts that keep them from talking about things. Sometimes I get to know minor things a few days ahead, but I can only prepare the news and release the news for when it is out.
I keep asking them about Diablo patch at least 10 times in the past five months. I haven't gotten a single lead. Naturally, they aren't Diablo community managers and they would have to go through other channels to get that type of info.
There has only been one emergency. I had sent Draiken (who is no longer a Blizzplanet staff) to BlizzCon 2007. I had secured a press badge for him through Nethaera. However, when he got to BlizzCon -- the lobby attendant did not have his press badge, so he wasn't able to enter the event.
Some people who won a BlizzCon ticket through a Blizzplanet contest, also reached me via Chat to let me know of the same problem. This was clearly an emergency. People paid a flight to get there, and they couldn't get inside. I called her, and she was so cool. They got inside less than thirty minutes later. The press badge and tickets were found quick.
On how I approach them, I don't know how to answer. I simply focus on what I need to know. For example, hi (name):
1. Can I bring a MP3 Recorder to the WWI event?
2. What's the status on the Richard A. Knaak interview? (<-- referring to if Public Relations has reviewed it so that I can post it on Blizzplanet).
That kind of questions.
Hey, what is the policy with emails and confidentiality?
Shacknews is well known in the gaming news industry, so I believe they got that response from Blizzard. However, I don't read too deep into that canned response. Last year they said the same about Starcraft 2, and voila -- within a couple of weeks they announced Starcraft 2 at WWI 2007.
That doesn't mean it will happen on WWI 2008, but hope is the last one gives up.
