RiF is the best thing to happen to this game EVER. befor RiF struggled to gear my barb, 1.7k hours played, I played 14-16 hours a day to get my eq/ik unity set immortal set. Was a miserable existence. After i finally got it, i hadnt been outside in a month and had to learn how relearn how to walk @@. Within the first week of kadala buff/RiF i was able to get full jade/zun set for my wd. Second week full akk set on crusader. And now i will be gearing up my DH. it has brought so much fun back into the game and im loving every minute of d3 while playing around with diff builds and toons. I really enjoy leeching for a few hours, spending shards then being a runner, capped off with bounty xp runs toi really break up the monotemy of the daily grind that had become farmablo. I wouldnt play no where near as much without RiF. i am high PL, so i only enter lowest opens so it never costs me and when i run i always do lowest opes cause i like to give back to the high lvl paragons who have invested real time into the game. If u dont use rift cause of your idiotic morals or cause joe bloe geared up quicker than your main. well franky your a tool and u should RiP diablo for good.
You literally stated the problem in your own comment. Gearing up a character in a week is a terrible state for this game to be in. Set items are extreme end game stuff and you get all the pieces off of Kadala in a few hours of "gameplay". How is that even fun? How is spending 30 secs of actually playing the game going to help make it better? RiF is along the same lines of the AH. It allows people to avoid playing the game while at the same time letting them reach the endgame. I have never been able to understand why you would spend money on something just to avoid using it. The point of the game is to farm for gear while killing monsters, that's the definition of an action RPG. RiF/Kadala is bringing the game down. I truly hope that something is done about it in the upcoming patch. They need to come up with a better progression system than Kadala and come up with better rewards than bounties currently offer.

    Hi, it's me again... ^^ http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/drbishop-2116/hero/38677828
But now I have drop a SoJ %Fire, with 6% CDR. I'm trying to have %Fire on Auguild's wrists right now and after 8% CDR on SoJ instead of 6%. But I don't know what's the best weapon for a Fire build. Here is my available weapons in bank :

    . 2H Maximus %Fire - 45,8% CDR

    . 2H Baleful Remnant - 45,8% CDR

    . 2H Mortal Drama with CDR - 50% CDR

    . 2H Scourge with CDR - 50% CDR

    . 1H Darklight with CDR - 58% CDR

Don't know what to do :D If someone can tell some tips...

Thanks a lot, and sorry for all that quetions. But it will be, I think, the last thing that I need to know : the choice of weapon.
If I had all tohse options I would simply experiment until I found the one I enjoyed the most. Of course it is hard to judge without knowing how strong each of the weapons is; but unless the Mortal Drama is awful; I'd be rocking that and swap your Falling Sword for Anihilate-Rune Bombardment :)

But yeah, play about and use the one you enjoy most :) I can't stand Scourge because the proc from it makes me think a set item has dropped when I'm tired :P
Well, you are right. I need to try all of these weapons :D I just wished someone had a little idea about that ^^ But no problem, I'll try it. I was exciting because today was my %Fire day; Maximus - SoJ Fire and I craft Auguild's wrists %Fire :D

I'll try the Anihilate-rune for Bombardment, it can be very... Mortal. And yes Scourge is tricky with that green proc :P

Big thanks to you, I appreciate.
Darklight is a pretty good 1h to use. With Heaven's Tempest you can do a lot of free damage. Maximus is obviously a good choice for the extra fire damage, 56% cdr is a pretty big breakpoint though. I would honestly go with the darklight for now just for that.

You can try for shoulders to get AR on there instead of the HF damage. Shield to get fire% damage. Gloves to get a better CD roll. Darklight to get 10%CDR instead of the AS that's on there. Maybe even Ammy to get CHC instead of the CDR. Really your gear is pretty good. Really just a matter of maxing the rolls you want.

    Hey all,

Having some real issues deciding what to focus on next, could use some input.Using a fire-based Fist of the Heavens build (with Firestarter).
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/TheFallenOne-1318/hero/43525064

I have The Furnace equipped right now, but I actually do have a well-rolled Darklight in my stash. I've found that on higher torments (especially in a party, where enemy health is increased), The Furnace gives me much higher damage output against elites/rift guardians. That may change once I get 6-piece Akkhan's, of course.

So far I've only been able to get a single piece of Akkhan's (shoulders)... My luck with sets is really crappy. Should I be purely gambling to get more pieces of the set, or any input on something else to grab?

Amulet has been pretty hard to replace...
Definitely keep gambling for the set pieces. For your ammy, you're going to want Fire%, str, CD, and CHC. You don't have any CDR on your gear either, which should be your major focus. 8% on shoulders, gloves(instead of atkspd), and rings. 10% on wep and shield. Hopefully you'll get lucky and pick some up with the Akkhans you find. Getting a helm with a socket would also be nice for you. Either Akkhans or another Andariels for the 12.5% cdr from gem. The idea with the Fire Starter build is to keep AC up all the time becuase that's where most of your damage will be coming from.

    Thanks for reply :)

Ok, I can swap Steed Charge for a skill with a cooldown that dealing damages. Bombardment seems, to me, too long without the passive Lord Commander but I might be wrong. I will prefer Condemn or Falling Sword for more utility with the Flurry rune. I'll do some test. But for Provoke, I don't know if I could replace it, I find that wrath is a little problem on boss or when the fight is too long. Is it normal? Maybe I don't manage my cooldown of AC and Law very well, that's why I could have some wrath issue in that case.
*edit after some try* : Condemn - Eternal Retaliation doing a great job. Short cd + reduce some seconds, I can Condemn every 4-5sec.

And what about the weapon? Darklight is the best way to go even for T5-T6?
I had wrath issues plenty; although I have never played a FotH build so I can't help there, maybe a crusader here who has can help on that. My Holy Crusader uses Punish - Retaliation and Sweep attack, with Bombardment and Condemn for damagers:

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Aeneas-2115/hero/38721088

P.S. Ignore the neck; guess I was fighting Rime most recently *cough*
You could always change to the Embodiment of Power rune on AC. That should pretty much eliminate your wrath issues. I would still keep Provoke though. It's a good wrath generator and in your case the only one you have besides AC. It also provides some cc/damage.

Hey, I actually had a crazy build Idea playing off the Bombardment Annihilate rune.

    You need to:
    stack CDR everywhere
    Use lord commander
    Use Akkans 6 Set
    Use Rally Akarats Champion rune
Use The Mortal Dram OR A High Base Damage (not high DPS) one hander like a mace, with a one hander use fervor
    Use Akarats Awakening shield

Basically, because Annihilate rune for Bombardment is 100% crit chance, there is no need to stack it. leaving you a free slot on anywhere you could have stacked that crit chance.there is also no need for stacking attack speed.

This means you are free to be way more flexible in primaries. as crit chance and attack speed are now negligible. Use RRoG and put an extra Fire Dam item on over the 6th akkans piece (magefist probably best as you could have Fire Damage, Strength, Vit, CDR and Crit Damage) put sockets on non-SoJ ring, ammy and shield (but i recommend block chance, see below) for extra strength from finery! this would bring it up to 9 gems giving you the bonus. 13.5% strength increase.

Your Shield here, Akatat's Awakening, has a 20% chance on blocking an attack to take a second off all cooldowns. To maximize this, using provoke hit me rune and having as close to 35% block chance on shield can mean alot of blocking attacks, and so alot of procs from the shield.

with all the CDR from above, your basically removing enough seconds to have LoV critical most of the time, which leaves you at around 450% crit Damage if you had max crit dam without LoV. The ability to remove 12 seconds of all skills with Akarats champion Rally will be ready most of the time. You could be permanently in Iron skin if you use Steel Skin rune, you even have steed charge rejuvenation ready all the time

want do you think? viable? and up to what torment? This build is purely theoretical, i am yet to obtain allnecessarypieces
I'd be interested in seeing how this works out. It would need to be tested to see if you could enough cool down procs from the shield before you can really see what it will do in higher torments. It'd be fun to try out though. I'll try to farm some pieces when I get home.

    Hello ..

Currently hanging in t5 .. Don't feel confortable doing t6 and I'm a solo game oriented.. think to make that jump I need full Akan set missing shoulders or pants.. got blade of prophecy last night . That said would anyone give advice to change back to my holy blessed shield with (both shield flail combo) mix blade of prophecy to that build or stick to fire build and improve that path realy seeking help among fellow crusaders thx

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/hellgord-2305/hero/38525036
Blessed Shield is still a viable build in T6 but I feel Fire will be more efficient especially with rift bosses. A big thing would be finishing out the Akkhan set completely. That way you can replace the RoRG for a unity setup. The 50% damage reduction is too good to pass up. If you go that route crafting Reaper's Wrap will help with the wrath issues. You're also missing a lot of CDR for a T6 efficient fire build. Since a majority of the fire damage comes from First Starter, hitting that 56% cdr breakpoint is essential.

I've been playing my crusader for awhile and was going towards fire spec but I'm not getting the drops/rolls I needed (eg: cold dmg(!) on Andariel's). Plus, like basically most crusaders, I've been trying to farm RRoG/Akkhan pieces but only found gloves and boots. And Kadala is being a b***h apparently does not like me.

Currently on T2 with current gear and spec but would like to go higher. Any gear or build suggestions would be very much appreciated.
    Crusader link:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/lorrydriver-1100/hero/45671509
First thing I see would be to craft yourself a Reaper's Wrap. Since that's pretty much the easiest thing to craft and most useful for progression. Maybe switch the diamonds in your gear to rubies. Strength gives armor and if you are only on T2 you don't need that much toughness. You could also try leaving 1 in the chest and put rubies in everything else if you AR gets too low. Switch Towering Shield to Finery. That should give you a pretty big increase in damage and most of the damage from your current build is coming from Shield Bash not Retaliate. For the most part it just seems like your lacking in gear. Just keep trying to farm for the Akkhan set and pushing through. Reaper's Wrap with fire% is really all you need to switch to the spec. It doesn't rely heavily on gear while your progressing. The cool down on AC will be pretty long though. Keep gambling for chest pieces and hopefully you can get a Cindercoat/Akkhans. Move on to your weakest slot from there. Hope this helped. Good luck!

    Hi,

I looted some pretty sweet items this week, like these :http://i.imgur.com/0zaeKY6.png. Got the Gauntlet today, but i'm still wondering what to reroll?Should i aim for 750 STR or 10% CHC?
    Full profile is there :http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/hazard-2505/hero/43222179

I'm almost exclusively running T4 rifts with a friend of mine in less than 5 minutes per rift, so it's pretty efficient for what it is :) Waiting for my 6pc Akkhan and a better FotF (one with CDR would be nice) to try higher Torment. I'm gambling for an Hellskull. Any suggestion?
I would roll the poison resist in to health globe. More heals can never hurt. If you decided to reroll something else, I would do the strength. It rolled pretty low. .5% CHC isn't worth the mats though.

I've been playing RoS A LOT latel. Pured hours and hours and hundreds of hours of rifting into my crusader. Alas, a fried of mine, playing significantly less, has better numbers in the character sheet and it feels, he is performing at least as well as me when we rift together (T4 at the moment).

Am I doing it right? Or are thereGLARING mistaks in my build+gear?

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Ezelios-2232/hero/38496628
Your gear looks pretty decent. I would roll the Life% in to CDR on your shoulders. It's probably a good Idea to pick up Ring of the Royal Grandeur and get the 4pc Akkhan bonus or craft a couple of the Aughilds pieces in a slot that you wouldn't mind replacing and sticking with the 2pc Akkhan bonus. Aughild's set will provide some bonus dmg against elites and some extra defense as well. The extra wrath you get in AC with the 4pc isn't quite worth it yet since the CD on it will still be pretty long. You'll eventually want to put a diamond in your helm for the 12.5% CDR. The shield you have currently is also pretty useless since 2.0.5 change to Heavenly Strength(no more speed debuff). Other than that just keep focusing on getting the rest of the Akkhan set and stack CDR.

Your build is pretty heavy on the defensive side. For a good holly build you can pick up FotF and do the holy shotgun build with Heaven's Fury/Fires of Heaven. It's pretty heavy on wrath though. I'm not a fan of this build for progression due to the fact that you will need to use 2 cooldowns to maintain your wrath until you have enough CDR to keep AC/Embodiment of Power up. It slows down clear speed by a large margin until you hit a certain gear point. Still a really good build, just way more gear dependent.

I would try using Justice/Crack for primary, FotH/Divine Well for a secondary. This with Holy Cause passive will proc a lot more LoH allowing you to replace Law of Justice with Law of Valor/Critical or Unstoppable Force(for FotH spam). You could also replace the Renewal passive with Finery which will give you a significant damage increase unless you have survival issues. Your other passives are fine the way they are. Condemn isn't very useful anymore since the 2.0.5 changes. I would use Provoke for the extra wrath. You can pretty much use any rune you want with this but Charged Up will provide a slight damage increase. This is the build that I used in T4 until I switched to the fire build. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It works well the Darklight and Fate of the Fell. If you get a FotF, Heaven's Fury/ Blessed Ground works really well with this. Especially when you couple it with Eberli Charo. I hope this helped.

Cheers, 5k+ shards on my monk and no cindercoat though so I'm not going to make my build revolve around it :P
You don't need the Cindercoat at all late game because you will have enough CDR to keep AC up with 56% CDR and 6 pc Akkahn. I'd still gamble for chest though to get the Akkahn chest piece, which is the main point to it. If you get a Cindercoat, that's just a bonus. It's extremely helpful for wrath management while you're progressing. You can get away without using it though if you have Reaper's Wraps. It will just be a little heavier on wrath.

Hey, I got tired of my monk because I want to deal damage so I decided to roll a Crusader. I have (almost) no strength gear for level 70 but once I get there I will start farming for a RoRG and craft a decent Aughilds set and some random legendaries.I got powerleveled to 60 and now that I'm actually playing my character I was wondering which build to use. Which build is the easiest to get started from yellow crafts?
Honestly, I would have to go with fire. The hardest part will be getting to the cdr breakpoint at 56% and getting 6 pc Akkahn. FotH Heaven's Tempest is extremely powerful right now. Providing massive aoe and great single target damage as well. You can run any gear with it while progressing. Fire starter on AC is also very powerful right now. The DoT that it procs can stack on the same target doing an insane amount of dmg.

To get started farm yourself a Reaper's Wrap. Getting the mat of Malthael should be pretty easy and it doesn't have to be perfect for the first one. Then start running rifts and bounties. Use your Blood Shards to gamble for a Cindercoat and Mage FIsts If you get decent Akkhans pieces that should be ok, although, the passive on Cindercoat will be extremely useful before you are able to stack some CDR. That should provide you with a decent starting point. You can checkout Mannercookie's guide on the main page. He breaks down ever section of progression from normal to T6 and provides you with all the stats you should be focusing on. It's long but worth it imo. Good luck!

None of the class specific items can be transmogged back to their original art. You also aren't able to transmog in to class specific set items. It was discussed a while back about adding a fix but it was low on the priorities. I don't think that it was intended to ever be able to xmog class set items. Maybe we will see something done about it in 2.1. It'd be nice to see a "reset" option in the xmog part of the enchantress.

It takes more than that. Unless you get lucky. Since the bags aren't affected by the difficulty you play on they have a static drop rate. Speed farming normal is probably the most efficient way to farm bags.
