The stuff datamined months ago from when the F&F beta started already had all these "ladder" references. They obviously want to have it and want it to work, they just didn't know how exactly.
It's hard to do it, because some people want the "fresh start" with characters all level 1 and renewed economy (though we don't have an economy anymore), some just want a type of "race" without having to play with non-geared low level characters, some want Paragon levels and experience to be reset...
And then you have problems with the rewards... some want specific rewards, exclusive ladder legendaries, some want higher drop ratio for ladders, some want cosmetics and ladder achievements, some don't want any of that crap because they don't want to be left out of content because they don't want to compete...
Everyone talks about ladders as if it was so obvious to implement them, and how... but they don't take into account the other types of players. From a dev standpoint, it's a nightmare finding a good middle ground.

It's up to you, but if you have some free time I would watch his stream. Last week he and Ravenknot (another top notch Hardcore streamer) gave away 2.5 billion hardcore gold in one day. Lots of people won a nice amount of gold. It's a great way for hardcore newbies (like me) to be able to gear up, finish Inferno and be safe on MP1.
When I have some time to play, I usually either leave his stream on one window and the game on the other (2 monitors) or on the background with the volume slightly reduced.
Also, you can either leave a message on RaidCall or on the Stream's chat saying you're looking for a group to farm MP 1-10. I haven't had much trouble finding people to play with -

Zero(pS) posted a message on Looking for TipsOh man, that sucks losing a character that close to 60.Posted in: Hardcore Discussion
You lost it the manly way at least, fighting with a badass boss not via a crappy DC.
Unless you're upgrading every 2-3 levels via the AH, I wouldn't really play above MP 1 - unless you've got a 1k dmg weapon useable at lvl 46-48). Getting a Ruby into a weapon as soon as you reach lvl 15 is a must, the damage increase is insane. For Hell, gear with high All Res (70-80) is your best bet to survive (ilvl 63 with reduced lvl req).
As far as leveling goes, using Cain's Set (from lvl 23 onwards) and a Star Ruby in the helm should suffice and you should always be ahead of the difficulty in terms of lvls (can get to 60 in the middle of Act 3). Depends on how much of the maps you're clearing, really.
If you don't mind getting powerleveled, I can help you and you can reach lvl 60 in roughly 2 hours 30 mins. Or you can stop midway if you wanna do Hell on your own. I might be powerleveling some people tonight (I do it whenever I can), so feel free to add me (Nomad#1741) - if I don't answer the in-game messages, it's because I'm currently busy and not even checking the game screen. -

Aranoch posted a message on Dupes and hacks on console version? When I heard the whole "bring your usb to a friends" thing, instantly I thought borderlands. Whether it's shortly after when the game comes out or a few months along, there will be a way to modify items and eventually there may be some sort of extensive program like certain mods for D2 or willow tree from borderlands to manipulate items, skills or various other things for example making a character level 500 or even making "legit" items that would dilute the actual items that have been found.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
In the end It will happen and it will be your choice to do it or not and right off the bat I know there will be people copying their character trading off items or gold, then reloading their character duping it, rinse repeat and in an hour you go from 10k to 10b making any sort of D2JSP or trading for gold almost worthless if enough people do it then the second that 1 godly item is found. It will most likely be duped and traded off.
EDIT: In reply to competitiveness, I wish every game had a leaderboards, detailed statistics a ladder or something along those lines. Even a non-competitive game with leaderboards instantly equals more fun for me. Prolonged gameplay and something else to strive for when I'm bored of farming and doesn't add any downside to other players. There will always be cheaters, booster, bots, hackers and scammers. I just wish it wasn't as easy as it is now. I log in and always have several requests from bots advertising websites and if that is being done as often as it is imagine what the people 1 or 2 steps ahead of patches are doing? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

the issue is that once you get a good drop that you have been waiting for, it confirms than the item is in your loot table. you can then use kadala to keep rolling for that item to eventually get the perfect roll.
If we increase blood shards a huge amount, everyone would save their shards indefinitely until they found (in my case azurewrath) their perfect item. and then roll with kadala to get the perfect version.
this is the unofficial reason.
