I found a pair of these pants and though it could be fun to build around them. I'm assuming they work well with whirlwind? What do you guys think of running these with WW or another spec?
I'll be sitting at around 14mil toughness without it up and I'll be running with prophet. I was thinking I can get 8% from shoulder, 8% from gloves, 8% from shield and 12.5% from helm for 36.5%. Should I put my paragon points into CDR also to make it higher? If I run with 36.5% what sort of downtime would that be on Akarats? I'm quite happy to have 5s downtime as I still have near 15mil toughness without it up.
What do you guys think? Let me know if I'm missing anything

1. How much CDR is optimal? I play HC so rolling CDR on my gear will often affect my defensive stats. I was thinking of rolling CDR on my gloves, shoulders, shield with a Diamond in my helm. I can also put paragon pts into CDR.
Would this give me enough CDR for close to permanent Akarats Champion?
2. What are your opinions on running with 5pc Akkhans with RoRG vs running with 3 pc Asheara bonus and4 pc Blackthorne bonus? Keep in mind this is for hardcore.
Hey there fantasmagore, is your gear pretty much BiS for the build or are there items you are still looking for to improve it. Is the weapon which provides a percentage of your thorns damage per hit any good for this build?
Im fairly new to Crusader and I'm looking for a good starter build, by starter I dont mean new player, I mean I have a relatively small amount of strength gear. I currently have 600k dps and 18mil toughness on my Crusader but find that I kill quite slowly. What is a good build that doesnt rely on specific items?
Legendary items will drop throughout the act, regardless of where you are and can be seen on the zone map.
So legendaries will still drop from mobs, even if you are in town? This might be where I was confused, because I've seen legendaries laying around before when I havnt even been in the zone.
Just been doing a few Rifts with some mates and we noticed that if you are too far away from another player you dont get any loot at all anymore, usually we can be on the other side of the map and still get loot but havnt been getting any today? I've actually had friends come down at the end of a rift and just pick up items from the rift/boss.
Has anyone else noticed this change? It could be worth noting that 2 of my friends are playing from the same house and so are sharing the 1 internet connection.
I have never used a shield so I don't know if I'm correct in saying this, but I would say the shield is not worth it.
Damage is a survivability stat. The quicker things die the less chance they have to kill you. Not meant in a glass cannon kind of way.

I watched your vid, it looks like you have a good gear setup going there.
Quick question regarding gearing;
1. What is the optimal Crit chance vs Crit damage ratio? Even when I had 62% crit and only 300% crit damage my character sheet still showed crit chance as giving more overall sheet dps.
2. 1h/quiver vs 1h/1h - I have a nats wep in my main hand, if I use a 2nd xbow I gain 7% dps for -12% toughness. Is there any other benefit for dual wielding? I see the 1 hatred per sec in the archery passive but is that on its own worth making the switch?
If you run with Aughild, get a Royal Grandeur ring and get all 3 pieces - the toughness gain is really good. You can also aim to get 3 Blackthorne which is really userful in HC.
I have the ring and im currently running with the 4 pc marauder bonus, 3 pc Ashearas bonus, 4 pc nats bonus. I can lose the Ashearas + my Reapers Wraps and gain the Aughilds, that seem like a good trade off? Does the % reduction from elites show on your sheet toughness?
Which skill are you guys finding to be better? I currently had the 3 pc nats bonus for extra Disc, I've been running with Night Stalker but I'm thinking maybe I should make the switch to perfectionist.
What do you guys all think? Keep in mind this is for my hardcore DH.
With gold not being too much of a problem, which weapon/offhand route do you think would suit best?
I've been running CMWW in HC for a long time. Chanto's set is very, very nice for wand/off-hand because not only do you get a boat load of IAS, but the set bonus of -7% elite dmg taken can be often better than a shield. It can be very cheap on HC too.
Other than getting the 2.73aps, as Loroes said, just put more emphasis on armor, AR, vit and LoH. I've never actually used Unstable Anomaly, so I can't comment on whether it's more useful.
The build I tend to use is this. Teleport with Safe Passage is the life saver for me. Not only can you get out of things, but you don't have to be too selective where you end up - and if you have enough APoC you can spam it too to maintain the 30% DR in tough packs.
The main problem with this spec in HC is trying to maintain decent EHP, but also keeping your IAS bp and high crit. It gets very expensive on some items.

Cookiee, what sort of sheet stats are you running? Toughness, sheet dps and + Cold damage?
Another question, how important is SoJ + 2 pc Aughilds for higher torment? Should I drop some Toughness in order to get the 2pc Aughilds?

What route/strat are you using? I'm currently playing on the Asia server and seem to be always lvling friends. Is your strat viable for HC?
