Once OWE and STI are changed ill have the following:
Lose: 700 resistance in all elementals except fire.
Lose: about 40% Dodge
Gain: 8500 Armor
As of now looks like a nerf....depends on what they do with STI
Should I be excited about this??? seems like more loss than gain to be honest, therefore nerf mitigation on an already low dps output performing class....makes no sense to me at this time....
Found this yesterday, dps a little lower but the extra attack speed helps make up for it by allowing more spirit generation. I lose about 10k paper dps. This "feels" better especially with the extra attack speed.
I solely play monk. I have always enjoyed the tanky monk builds running into a mob and just wrecking as much havoc as possible (which now-a-days is very low).
Anyways, dex is a useless main stat plain and simple. This is evident is multiple ways:
1. "Seize the initiative." Do ANY OTHER builds have a passive that states "increase your dexterity by 33% of your _________" HELL NO! Dex is so useless we essentially have to turn 33% of it into armor to make it somewhat viable.
2. "Chance to dodge." I currently have over 8,000 dex and only a 37% chance to dodge....what the hell is that all about? So the dex i have is only good 2/5 times i get hit??? Strength and Intelligence mitigates EVERY SINGLE assault taken...while dex mitigates, for me and the majority of everyone else, 2/5 hits.
3. Dexterity doesnt apply to all affixes. I cant dodge arcane, molten, desecrator, etc. However, the other main stats mitigate EVERYTHING!!!!!
I like the idea of making dexterity dodge and block combination. I mean a monk should be able to use their martial art skills to block stuff. Dex should both increase blocking and dodging.
Three set Innas: pants, vest, and helm is not being recognized as a three set bonus. Not getting my .33 bonus to spirit regen.
Anyone else having this problem?
I have ambition to play out my current gear possibly into ROS.
My question is, how much more difficult is master 60 vs master 70 (in other words I like how my character plays right now and may not want to start from scratch)
Is there a significant difference. I ask this because I am curious to how fast monsters scale up with each level.
What the heck....i have been playing for some time now and my percentage to level 61 is going really really really slow....i mean I can play for 45 minutes and see maybe 1 percentage increase.
P100 gives you: 300 core stat, 200 vitality, 100 off stat, 100 off stat.
The new paragon system makes achieving this impossible....why have we been robbed of all this?
In ROS beta I am able to apply 49 points per category. This does't make sense to me....NOT AT ALL
The new point system strips you of all your p100 paragon points, meaning the 300, 200, 100, 100 have been taken off your account and now can be "redistributed" equally in four different areas meaning you have 25 points per category.
Let's look at the core stat tab we have the following available options: core stat, vitality, movement speed, maximum resource. Core stat and vitality both increase by 5 per paragon used, movement increases by .50%, and max resource increases by 1.00.
This is BS....25 paragon points is not reflective of the 300, 200, 100, 100...matter of fact you cant even achieve those numbers with the 25 paragon. The best you can do is +125 core stat. WTF that isnt even half of what you had before. The balance is off badly...if i split them up I can get 65 core stat and 60 vitality compared to 300 core stat and 200 vitality we had before.
I understand that we have other categories to apply our paragon points but once they are all applied we dont see an improvement in character....paragon 2.0 initially seems like a downgrade for players.
Thoughts? I havent played that much this is just initial thoughts. Not hating on paragon 2.0 just confused.

Still will have to use OWE, drop STI, and use sixth sense.

Also, they say "overall we shouldn't notice that much of a change." Well the problem was never mitigation. The problem is dps output plain and simple.

This one was my preferred choice. Good dps, extra total spirit, 1.4 attack speed

But that is assuming we buy ROS.
I feel as though D3 Vanilla paragon 2.0 should of at least just kept us where we were at.
Now we are seeing a drastic deficit right off the bat.
