Absolutely wonderful! i watched your other video, i think i got a revelation! The whole chain of torment + evasive fire seems to be really a fun combo!
Thanks for the video! Very informative, i can't wait to try this build on live.
If you don't mind, i have two questions for you:
- is steady aim working on the turret too?
- have you tested the rune 'chain of torments' with 3 turrets? Does it makes 3 chains attached to you?
I did some tests along with "medium range" spells like Deadly Reach - Foresight, Sweeping Wind - Firestorm due to my lack of -spell cost or +spirit regen gear and i was pleased with that for the time trying in earlier acts. But spamable 235% weapon damage on range doesn't sound to good honestly to clear trough tougher trash, it's attack animation is rather long and compared to a 565% cowbell on aoe, well... If you don't have the damage to oneshot everything it's a rather unsatisfying experience.
Absolutely true. The goal is to kill in one shot or to get a high attack speed (animation seems faster with the frenzy shrine).
I'll try to test with 'Flying Dragon', when i can get my hands on it, and a really heavy attack speed setup.
There is only one thing that might need some tweaks on blizzard side: Hand of Ytar is really dependant on obstacles (sp?) . If there is a small polygon in the way, your HoY will stop there, so it can be tricky sometimes to get at the good spot or you will lose too much range.
Kiraan, have you tried bringing in WofHF runed with Windforce Flurry? The range on the 3rd strike looks decent and might allow you to mix it in with Hand of Ytar, allowing some spirit generation from attacks, freeing up a rune slot on Sweeping Winds or a mantra slot (MoH).
Well, i tried to not use any melee skills at all, so i could blast things from long range, thus needed the high spirit regeneration. As for sweeping wind, i'm trying other rune variant at the moment. Spirit is a bit harder to manage, but the cyclone rune or the firestorm one are a pretty nice addition to the build. And It will be even better with 4 pieces inna.
Hand of Ytar is a small AoE attack, works wonder on packed monsters.
With my actual gear i can crit up to 200K+ from range. I lack a bit on attack speed, but the ligthning is already fast enough.
Good thing about Hand of Ytar is that it procs sweeping wind too, so a storm of lightning and tornados might come with better gear!
I'll try to put a video later, its better to see it in action.
I'm not sure if it has been covered before so i wanted to share a monk build i'm playing with and i find very fun!
If you want to try something different than usual monk, try others passives than the usual ones, this build is probably for you : the ranged monk
Let's get started! This build works around the use of the secondary skill "Lashing tail Kick" and its rune variant "Hand of Ytar".
Lashing Tail Kick Cost 30 spirits so the main concern was to reduce the cost and/or raise spirit regeneration to be able to use it freely.
- You can reduce the cost of Lashing Tail Kick on rings (-4 an -5), on monk weapon (-5) and amulet (-5)
- You can raise spirit regen on various pieces too.

We can assume safely he is one of the best ranged barb out here ( maybe even the best).

I'm really inspired now, you've made my day!
Big Thank You

Still lots of testing to do

The idea is to make a good mix of the two.

There is room for improvement, but its a fun build, let's make it better together!
Have a nice day.
