posted a message on 20 RIFTS on T1 and 2000 plus blood shards = 1 legendary plan
    Quote from Faesrollvtwo

20 Rifts is like 2-2.5 hours. Just because you're slow/inefficient doesn't mean everyone else is.

I've played over 110 hours on my crusader now, completed 271 rifts, and collected 14000 shards.

I haven't found a single set item for my class (3 for other classes). However players claiming they go 3+ hours without legendary is just plain bullshit, ever since the buff I average 1-2 legendaries per rift (T1-2). Occasionally I have one without but that's one rift, not 3 hours of gameplay.

And no I don't count plans as legendaries.
I have completed 10 rifts (not in one session) without any legendary. That streak is still going - I will try another one tonight I guess.

By their definition, running a bot or hacking your character is just another valid "Play style".
And, by your definition, playing any difficulty other than what YOU have prescribed is "invalid."

    God complex much?

I suck and I play Master. No Normal for me. No Torment for me yet, but soon. Who gives a fuck? If people really want to sacrifice the Torment-specific items just to get more of the other items why does it bother you so much? They *are* making a tradeoff, you know.

It's really telling that you'd equate running Normal with botting, though. No one here is trying to defend botting because that's clearly against the ToS and EULA. I would hope that the ToS and EULA don't dictate what difficulty any person chooses to play on though. That's way too big brother for me.
People should be running a difficulty commensurate with their current gear, and if saying that means I have a god complex...well the, go build a church to me.
Why should they? Does it really bother you that maybe someone who plays only normal got a better legendary than you? Or what other reason is there that you think people should play the game like you think it's right?

And just to be clear, I play T1 bounties and rifts because thats how I feel comfortable playing the game. I do it because I like to get the bottomless potion or a set item and I don't see why I should care how other people play the game.

posted a message on Smart Loot and Alts and Followers
I'm aware that this could be 'abused' to the point that people don't really play alts until they have ALL the good gear. For me it would be more of a help to get at least started in T1. So I would gather enough decent gear that my barb could clear T1 more or less comfortably and then I wouldn't mind finding the rest on my barb. I mean it's also always a change of pace when you switch classes which I personally quite enjoy but I prefer to have the feeling of progression when playing T1 instead of expert or master.

But since I haven't played beta and don't really know how mystic and blood shards work there might be a decent enough workaround.

posted a message on Smart Loot and Alts and Followers
So I think I'm not the only one that sometimes wishes that not almost all the loot is smart loot and thus only usable for my currently played character and not for other alts or even followers. To change that I have following idea - if Blizzard were to introduce an option where we can select which kind of smart loot we want that would be maybe a fix for it (has downsides). So you play your wizard, you right click your portrait and there you can select what kind of smart loot you want (loot for barb, crusader, dh, etc) and the coming loot would be smart loot for the selected class (including legendaries - maybe?)

Obvious downside - there isn't much incentive anymore to play alts before you haven't found decent gear for them. But for me that wouldn't be too big an issue.

I can definitely understand the issue people have with proc coefficients. I don't mind when a tooltip says "X has a chance to Y" without defining it when it comes, in particular, to skills that either hit bazillions of times, or that can be spammed tons of times...because at least if the proc coefficient isn't defined, you're still likely to get it to proc a certain amount of times in all those hits. But Life on Hit isn't a skill with a percentage chance, it's just very direct..."Each Hit adds +X Life." Boom. Done. That likely shouldn't have a proc, the "chance" isn't defined in that anywhere.

I think what he means with hidden coefficients is that some abilities gain more from Life on Hit than others and that this should at least be indicated somewhere.
