Nah not really. It's just a gold sink. As i said before, the crafting price of radiant stars remains the same, so it's not a real problem and even the AH prices of them will settle, given some time.

Majority of ppl won't even think about marquise gems, before getting to the point where an item upgrade of +4 main stat / 10% chd (could be a lot higher, since gems are a 1 time investement). Even now many casuals jsut buy 90% chd in weapons, because the price of a radiant can get them a better upgrade statwise on an item itself :)
So yeah i think it's a gem for ppl who have nowhere else to spend. Pulling gold from them is not a bad thing.

yeah it is a gold sink, considering that if you have one marquise gem equipped the reapir cost is getting exponentially higher as well. saw some posts of players that tested the new gems in 1.07 yesterday that got easy >1.5mio repair costs after 10 deaths.

This sounds like something that needs to be reported on the official forums. Couldn't be as intended. Some people might not even be able to farm 1.5mil before their armor breaks.

I hope the repair bill stays higher than what it is. How many people brag about a 5-10 minute run netting them millions from drops. I know it's all different for everyone, but a 50k bill is laughable when my GF makes monsters drop piles of 2k and above.

Also, it's not really clear but it says the new tier. Could that just be the tier past the last current? Or are all Rubies getting this change...

If you do decide to speculate in gems and crafting mats during the hype of a new patch, I advice you to sell right before the patch actually hits and prices are at their peak. Every time I've seen the AH prices go bananas over a hype, this was the exact right tactic for most mats - prices stooped in a matter of days after the patch went live. I can't tell you you have to follow this advice but keep it in mind.

Instead of before the patch do it before PTR release.

Well, the prices of FS rubies went from like 500g each to 6k each after release of 1.07 preview!

Before logging off I seen prices at the 8k mark.

posted a message on new exploit for scamming in d3
I can see this scam being insanely successful with a 2 party scam team. But alone I'm just still mind boggled. Like I assumed once you clicked out of trade it exited for both players not just one. Assuming that he would have to cancel his trade window to be able to pick up your item.

If there was 2 people though I could see it like person to be scammed will be called Bob, Scammers will be Jake and Tom. Jake wants to get item from Bob. Jake has Bob drop item and opens trade window with gold in it. Tom comes in and steals the item from the ground and disappears. You assume Jake did something when in fact he just opened trade window and put in gold or the wrong item or whatever excuse he would use to not continue the transaction.

Thanks Shinna. I've considered changing some of my skills around I just don't really know what to do. I also have a huge issue of overcoming muscle memory. For some reason I love to cast storm armor all the time (well, after each major mob I encounter). It's weird that I do it and I even do it when I'm playing a barb too.

Thanks. I still have my Zuni chest. I did notice a huge change from the Zuni to the Tal chest. I think the total dps change shows quite a bit. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 20k or so. I have some trifetcia gloves but if I use them I would lose life which is not what I'm going for right now. The amulet though I don't have so I will look into that more.

That build that you posted has glass cannon as a passive...isn't that something I should stray from?

So, I'm finally at basically 130k dps. But my issue is how squishy I am. At mp2 if I get stuck in a mob I will die. At mp4 or so elites just roll me. I need to be less squishy, but I don't want to really loose any dps in the process. What skills should I change to be efficient at doing ubers? Or do I need to change gear?

I guess I should leave this link here.

I'm at 27 and not 28. But soon will be at 28. I just got into act 3. For some reason I believe I'm over leveling the game, or at least compared to my wizard I am. But I'm also playing at mp10 and haven't dropped the mp any at all. I have +116 exp after monster kill and bonus exp 90%. Add to the fact that I'm playing mp10 I should be gaining experience decently quick. At times it feels like I hit a brick wall mainly when I have to corpse throw at my opponents. Multiple tries especially on large mobs with harder hitting opponents. My plan isn't really to be over powered at this level but just to get to 60 quickly. Hate the level grind just so I can use decent equipment.

Started a new character a barb and I'm trying to power level him so that I can get good equipment and buy it once rather than multiple times. What are some skills I should use? I believe I'm at 28 or maybe even right at 30. Using a Cain's set, all the +exp equipment I can find, and a hellfire ring. Don't have the gold to spend on a Leoric's signet so that is out of the question.

Should I use a general whirlwind build? Seems to work but I feel that the lower level equipment is holding me back. First time I've played a melee class. Only other character is a wizard and the play styles are hugely different for me.

What about if I just have the LoD cd key and not D2? Can I play it or do I need to repurchase/look harder though piles of boxes D2?
