While there are addons that should not be made available, there are addons that I believe should be allowed. Specifically, non-gameplay addons like Auctioneer and so forth. It doesn't change how the game is played and would be a good way to maximize a player's money from selling items on the AH. For example, let's say I have a rare item (yellow) that is called "Scratching Post" or something like that. I can't look up that item on the AH by the name, I have to literally go through every page of that type of item looking for it to see what other people are selling it for. I know there are tons of item names out there, but there HAS to be a limit to how many there are, and when enough people are playing the game, they either have to double up on some (or triple or more) or there will be no more names available and the only things that will drop are the crap ones that get sold over and over to the vendor. So that means more than one person will have this "Scratching Post" and I would like to sell mine at the lowest cost, of course. By not allowing Auctioneer or anything of its like, Blizzard is forcing me to either sell it at a random price or look through every single page of items trying to find just one duplicate. I don't know about them, but if it were me, I'd want to make the people who PAID to play my game happy so they will want to pay for other games later...
