It still isnt worth farming Act 3. I am selling my account since D3 is a fail.

I can't understand why you would be reading these boards if you feel this way, let alone POSTING here!

OT: I feel that if you play with people then the boredome is alleviated. Maybe find a couple of people to coop together with? Devleop new tactics of how to work efficiently together, efficiently enough to increase your XP of MF bonus type gear.

Yeah the helm of Command is not so useful on a WW barb. But the OP said he used to play a tank style.

What is your Crit chance at? Crit damage is like 300% but your chance looks low. The WW build wants more chance than damage as your Battle Rage - Into the fray procs off crit hits regardless of the amount of damage done.

WW Hurricane means you will be able to catch those ranged guys who run from you and sprinting at the same time helps too.

Your call on WoTB but I find it most use against frozen or imprisoning mobs: WOTB ignores those effects and so you can jsut keep on wihrling around. It is a little OP and so I only use it when i REALLY have to, or I try to string it all together to try and only use it once (got to love WOTB with Thrive on Chaos backed by Sprint with tornadoes and BR/into the fray making everything self-sustaining). It is awesome using WOTB long enough that when it runs out the nromal 2min cooldown has already elapsed!

Actually i want to thank the OP for this. I will take a better look tonight when i have my character up but this is the kind of thread which is very useful.

The only question I had is that it seems all you think is different between a WW and SnB build is the offhand, don't SnB require more vit giving gear?

    Thanks!

posted a message on Best build type for Co-op play
    Hi all

I posted asking for some build advice and after reading some more I thought I would just check my assumption that a Sword and Board (SnB) barb is the best build for co-op play or if Whirlwind (WW) is ok also.

The reasons for thinking that a tanky SnB barb is best is:
    1) The SnB barb can stand forward and collect mobs and absorb hits while ranged friends rain death
    2) Friends are likely to pop the white mobs that give the WW build it's fury and healing via LoH (this happens a little with my build as Revenge healing is reduced when the whites are popped)
    3) WW relies on lots of movement, movement that not many other classes can match and so you would be constantly waiting for eachother
    4) You are more likely as a SnB to come upon a shrine or well when the rest of the party is around and so you will be sharing a lot more

    What does everyone think?

Multiple WW barbs would be cool though I am sure! :)

posted a message on Sword 'n Board Barb upgrade advice sought
    Hi all

How great is this site! Recently found it after struggling with Act 3 inferno.

I am hoping for some help if possible. I mostly play coop with a wiz and DH and so i need to tank - WW barb style is not really co-op friendly AFAIK.

This is my build although the Furious Charge skill and the passives are not set in stone:

I have read other topics and I think that I am most like Trashman's toon:

He can farm act 3 ok and so i can't help but feel i am close! :)

I have around 10mil in the pot and a few high value items up on the AH at the moment. i can aquire more gold if required but I am chasing advise on how to get me up to act3 farming level (magic find not too important at this stage: I wanna bea tthe game first! :))

    Regards,
    Devourer
