Opening up the portal does not mean you've contributed more to getting the organ.

When I have keys, I purposely look for people to help me kill the bosses so I have a chance at the drop. Solo-ing the uber bosses is not nearly as efficient as having people to help. You gain by the existence of being in a party.

Since you own the keys, you get the ability to choose the party in which you open the portal for. If you want to 'get something out of farming for the keys', then thats what your getting.

I disagree with your purposal anyway. I farm keys and organs with a specific group of friends. We all put in the same amount of time and effort since we do most things together. I've been unlucky in not getting act 3 keys for a while now. I have 6 act1 keys and 5 act2 keys but 0 act3. So I haven't contributed to a portal quite as much as the other 3. Since I've helped them get every key they possess right now, do you think I should get punished for not getting the bonus?

Yes that's if you run it with the same people over and over. Correct.

    But you missed my point.

If you get a bonus for opening up the portal, then your screwing unlucky ppl like me.

But the way it currently is, everyone is gaining something. You are already gaining because others are helping you kill the bosses. In fact, you can have 100 machines but they would all be useless if you can't kill the bosses. So why would you need another bonus, when they are already helping you? More often than not, if you invite others to your group and open portals for them, when they have built their machines, I'm sure they'll invite you back. Assuming your not bad at this game.

In inferno with MP1 the only difference between items that drop of diff iLVLs will be the graphical model.
The base values should also still be different. An ilvl 63 Chest (Archon) should still roll higher base armor values than ilvl 58-62.

I'm not 100% sure on that though, haven't played the PTR.

Then by that logic, weapons of an ilvl60 or below will still have a lower base damage than the rest. Interesting

That is the way I understood it as well. i63 armor will still have more armor value than i61. However, they can roll the same max crit/resist/primary stat, etc.

This would've been a bigger deal for weapons, however, I think they allowed i61 weapons to roll i63 damage in a prior patch so I think it only effects armor?

I just did a few tests, not going to upload a video as I am not setup to make videos. And that would be just way too much effort than I'm willing to put in.

With no prismatic armor (using shocking aspect), 1.4attack speed normal wand, I needed 344 LoH to face tank Ghom.
I'm at ~500-600all resist, 4.5k armor, 95k dps, 30k hp. My health only dipped to about 50% twice before immediately refilling. I did die without the LoH at about 10% health on Ghom, I don't have life leech either. But 344 is not exactly hard to get, I had it on one item.

And the kill took me under 30 secs.

Like Kintonik, I don't mean to offend you. But when you say your the first to perfect a build, that is a bold statement. For that matter, a large number of CM/SC (WW) wizards before you are using chantodo's set. Its a known good weapon to compliment the build. Browse around the forums and you'll realize that its general knowledge.

with a lot of loh you might be able to do it with a sword/dagger/wand but it does not have enough attack speed to be totally efficient as the set want chantodo's will

I think your over value-ing attack speed in todays game. It'll be more important in MP Levels in 1.05. But its definitely not necessary for survival in the current content difficulty. From my old LoH gear, i've given it up, but i've increased my intelligence by 1k since and also geared for higher armor. With 0 LoH, I can still sit in molten, arcane, desecrator, etc. I don't think I will have a problem face tanking content I manage to do a month ago with double the dps and much higher defense. I'm still using the same 1.4speed wand.

I've tank Ghom with a normal wand earlier on in 1.04. I had a storm crow and Ouroboros back then though. Both of them have LoH on them, which I don't use anymore.

Huh? You came up with the build? I think I've seen 100's of wizard profiles that use the same build since 1.04

Ofcourse one of the skills is optional (ie: your magic weapon) and one of the passive is optional (ie: your glass cannon)
    The rest are the same.

    Quote from Boss_Hogg

In multiplayer, unless you're with a good group in terms of communication, remember that all rational thought gets tossed out the window when a treasure pygmy is spotted. All of it.

Its even easier to corner them in multiplayer games, don't stack on top of your allies, instead, form a semi circle with the other players while backing the gob to the wall. He won't run toward any of you, so he'll stay at the wall.

    posted a message on Questions about buying a new computer for diablo 3 ( from 600 ~ 800 )
I've had 3 friends that build new pcs for diablo just before it released, I did it with all of them..
without listing specific components, this is how i would break it down

component - cost - what i look for
case - $50, anything with good reviews and looks good to you
motherboard - $100-$140, reliable brand, good reviews, USB 3.0 support
    cpu - $150-$200, intel i5 or i7
videocard - $100-$250 - GeForce 560 for above 150 range or ATI for below 150 range
ram - $50 - 16GB of ram with good reviews
    PSU - $50-$100 - 550w+, reliable brand, good reviews

so the components can add up from $500 to $800. I think the $500 computer will still be able to play diablo at max settings but you can adjust where you spend your money according to how you prioritize your components, whatever is more important to you.
