posted a message on Barb testing on ptr.
yeah ww build is completely viable still, it just seems like blizz wanted to nerf how well LoH scaled with the tornados and the 100% uptime on WotB. It really didn't feel very different to me at all on the ptr, ML 8 was no problem for me, just took a while to kill shit. Single target it is difficult to keep WotB up 100% of the time but monsters still die before it runs out.

go to the official forums if you want blizzard to read your post.

Also, copy/pasting the same shit 5 times makes people less likely to read your whining posts.

My test on the ptr went well.the reduced cost of whirlwind makes it pretty easy to manage fury. The only real difference was that on a single target, wotb would eventually fall off, but I was able to spin constantly on a single target, without stopping, and without changing my gear or spec. WW build is still very viable with the right gear. My sig has my profile if you want to see stats.those who don't have my gear would probably do fine if they took animosity.

[...]as we can see in the video, you can't really die at decent gear levels but what the specc is really lacking is dps. when monsters have that much hp your mobility is no longer the key issue for fast and efficient farming, dps is. there are many speccs performing a lot better dps-wise.
You must be doing it wrong, or have bad gear. The damage in this spec is very high, spin around a target and drop a couple tornadoes while whirlwinding, and they melt.

posted a message on How much monster power are you ready to handle?
Monster HP and damage will not scale at the same rate, look at how it scaled with additional players (before all the nerfs), it was 5% dmg/75% hp and scaled upwards from there depending on the difficulty. A 100% increase in monster damage would result in most players getting 1-2 shot, especially on ranged classes. I would be surprised if monster damage got anywhere near that high at ML 10. HP on the other hand, I can see getting quite high as I can solo 4 player mobs currently very easily. With zerk a 4 player elite pack goes down in about 15-25 seconds for me depending on the kind of mob, and that's at 225% extra hp.

Well first of all, damage and health will not scale at the same rate, it would more likely be something like +20%hp/5%dmg per level.

And personally I'm bored as fuck with act III, I will be turning the difficulty way up and going back to Act I and II to get my better loot with a different scenery. My gear is pretty good and I will only die maybe once in a long day of farming (like 10+ hours of gameplay), so I intend to start around ML 6 or so and turn it up from there based on how that goes. It will also depend on the droprates, if the reward does not fit the increase of difficulty, its unlikely i'll be turning the difficulty up to max. Just cuz its doable doesn't mean it will be worthwhile to farm at that difficulty.

WW Barbs will not work here because I have to kill things fast. You have to keep things alive enough to generate more Fury. So no WW Barbs.

Never seen a good WW Barb? I kill elites in 4-6 seconds, less if its just a melee mob that stands still.

And quite honestly my gear has a fair amount of room for improvement.

posted a message on Sacrifice MF to do Act 3 better?
I have 0 MF on my gear, and just go for straight killing speed. I plow through act 3, get lots of experience, and probably 2-3 legendaries per day on average.

Killing speed can make up for having lower MF, killing 1000 mobs with 150 mf vs 500 mobs with 300 mf in the same amount of time will yield probably the same number of legendaries on average, but twice the experience and much faster paragon leveling.

Case in point, I have a buddy who I talk to in skype most of the day, he has max MF and last week I found more legendaries than he did. Of course RNG is RNG, but I prefer going balls to the walls dps and blowing shit up rather than having to be careful about everything :P

posted a message on Advices needed for IK pieces for WW barb

Start with going for the belt, then look at either boots or chest. The boots are perfectly itemized, I'm not sure why you wouldn't want them. your helm could also do with some upgrading, however the helm is one of the pieces without all res so you might want to look at getting your resists up in other places before you sacrifice in that slot.

How are the perfectly itemized ? They have LOW Str and Vit on them and they give Control Impairment reduction which is totally wasted because you are in WoTB all the time.... The only good thing about these boots is the All Res which the Ice Climbers rival and excel with the % Life and socket and the INSANE Str and Vit they give. These boots are just flat out better and the 5 set is not needed at all once you can manage your fury properly. Heck fury isnt even an issue when you get enough crit.
Getting a different chest and these boots you will outperform everytime.
Move speed is very important for WW barb, you don't appreciate it until you have it, and then swap your old boots back and hate yourself for not using it. Find a pair of Iceclimbers with Move speed on them, then compare the price to the IK boots and you will see my point. Not saying Iceclimbers aren't good, but they aren't as good as the set.

The 5 set IS that good, the benefit doesn't come from when you are in the midst of combat, it is when you are out of it and running to the next pack, or back in town. Your fury starts at full instead of having to generate it again, and this saves you a LOT of time if you are going for the fastest runs you can. It is VERY good.

IK boots can have low stat rolls, but they can also have high stat rolls, it depends on your budget whether or not you can get them. Being that they are part of a set and have perfectly itemized stats, they will be expensive for the perfect str rolls, I don't see how that comes as a surprise to anyone. CC reduction isn't useful most of the time, but wait til PVP starts, and then see how you feel about it. Not that you will be using a WW build for pvp, but it would be nice to not have to start over from scratch wouldnt it?

The chest is arguably the best piece of the set, the only other chest you might consider is tyrael's for the move speed, and Try finding one with 3 sockets and Vitality to match the IK one...you wont find one for less than 1,000,000,000 gold I'm sure.

edit: actually that above Tyrael's isn't even possible to roll, so yeah. Guaranteed 3 sockets, excellent mitigation and high str roll with vitality is definitely superior IMHO.

posted a message on Gauntlet run in D3
When a Barb goes super saiyan 5, they are immune to all forms of CC, except for walls if you count that.

But its kinda a moot point since something like this will never exist, as it would be way too lucrative to farm, and no one would farm anywhere else. Blizz hates that kind of thing, which is why ponies sux now.

posted a message on soooo just curious... is there a point to playing multiplayer games?
If you can find some1 to match your damage to farm with, then co-op is nice. I have a WW barb with over 100k damage, and its very hard to find anyone that can keep up with me, and so it is much more productive for me to farm solo. I have sprint up 100% of the time, and kill elite packs in less than 8 seconds usually (and if I zerk its like 4 seconds).

On the other hand, farming solo gets boring quickly, whereas farming with a friend is more entertaining and I can laugh at them with they TP to me and die instantly cuz I'm in the middle of an arcane sentry/desecrator CF.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Loot Servers - > Easy Legendary Drops?
Best run I ever had I got 3 legendaries, 2 worth over 50 mil. I checked the server IP which was .157, at which point I stopped believing in this conspiracy. RNG is RNG, and just like the mystery of life on earth, people will look for answers any place they can find if they can't explain why something happens the way it does. Not to say that those servers cant drop great loot, but others that do not fit this description can as well. Every server is potentially a "Loot Server".
